My new recurrent visit when in Malmö - Edit
This place is a new discovery to me, and glad I did. They may not have a whole slew of options, but they seem to be good at what they do.. at least their kålpudding, the dish I tried. It tasted a bit salty in the beginning, but the lingonberries balanced the taste very well. By the end of the meal, the only regret was that my plate was empty!
Read moreThe ambience was fine, at least in the afternoon it didn't feel like the type of place only drunks go to.. and did I mention the music? It rocked! I could tell pretty much every band that was being played, from Iron Maiden to Turbonegro, to Star Fukcing Hipsters, to Dead Boys.. and even a ska-punk cover of "Brown Eyed Girl"! The music alone will sure keep me there for a few hours next time an opportunity arises.
The only negative, aside of course from the fact that it's not a vegan place, would be that it took a while to receive the dish; despite assurances from staff that it wouldn't take long, I ended up waiting for some 25 min. I was in a bit of a hurry as I had to catch a train, which wasn't an issue in the end.. but bear in mind that the vegan option takes longer to serve, the waiter said. Still, I can't wait to return to Nobes.

Had a great vegan cabbage pudding that brought me right back to my grandma’s kitchen. Couldn’t be any better if you’re looking for some vegan traditional Swedish “husmanskost”! I’ll be back!
