LOVELY PLACE

Such a beautiful place to go! The staff is really nice, I feel so comfortable every time I go. The food is just mouth-watering, from champipapas to veggie burguers, there are so many options!!!! I've brought non-vegan friends here and they all love it. Totally worth the price.

Charming and cozy - Mucho Gusto

Charming new age spot with delicious fusion fare. Really loved the Vinyasa taco which was more like a stuffed corn pancake than a tostada. Also recommend the stuffed artichokes. The menu is only in Spanish but the staff was very helpful and kind. The Belgian raspberry beer was very refreshing. Portions are generous so bring a to go container and the vegan cookies are delicious as well.

Disorganized but food is yummy

The service was extremely slow but the food made up for it. Everything was delicious, especially the mushroom cerviche.

this is a great little place.

I've been eating here for a while. I like the food. The vibe is good and the prices are fair.

Shame they are not open everyday

Best place in three weeks

We enjoyed many restaurants in three weeks in Peru and Chile, and this place was the best. The menu gives many choices (bring some time to decide!), and everything we tried was great. Most if not all dishes are made with some peruvian influences - top!

Pros: Variety, Peruvian food influences, Taste

We enjoyed the food and relaxed atmosphere at this restaurant so much that we went here twice during our one and a half day stay in Lima.

Really Good!!

July 2016

It is a very small place, but it has a variety of foods and its really good. I had a lentil burger i think, that came with lots of veggies and small potatoes that were delicious!!! I also tried the champipapas that is just mushroom with potatoes but it was very good too. My mom had the mini burgers, that were a mix of every burger they had "lentils, beans, garbanzo, etc" but in miniature.

It is a great restaurant, everything is vegan i believe, but the service was kind of slow and the place was really small too.

Pros: delicious, variety, all vegan

Cons: small place, price range fairly okay, slow service

Good food!

The food was really good, I got some taco that came with guac and some cashew cheese that was really good! The decor was also really nice, but my food took a really long time to come + my grandma was already done with her plate by the time mine came! But if you're in Lima check it out its a good restaurant!

Pros: mostly vegan

Cons: food took a long time

Really Good

I got a burger, some kind of pisco drink and dessert. The burger was made of lentils and came w guac, sprouts and carrots. The "bun" was very thin flatbread with oregano. The drink was good. It was something Jamaica and it looked almost like it had some kind of tea in it. The dessert was also really good. I got some kind of apple cobbler... the only thing was by the time I arrived (9pm ish) they had run out of stuff so I couldn't get tacos aztecas like I wanted and the cobbler was the only dessert left. I don't think the staff spoke english but I didn't try to speak english with her. She was very nice! More than happy to recommend stuff for me and a group of ladies that was there. It cost me 50 nuevo sols. At the (bad) exchange rate I got that was $16.20. Pretty much what I would pay in the states I think. Free wifi!

Cons: Kinda far from my hostel. I had to take a cab back, They sold out of what I wanted.

Good Food in an Ethnic atmosphere

I visited El Jardin de Jazmin for dinner at the beginning of June.

The food menu is quite diverse, so you'll hopefully find something of your preference. That being said, when we visited some of the items in the menu were not available.
We had a burger and a kebab; and both were delicious.
We also had a crumble, and it was better than it looked, although not as good as the food.

The staff was very friendly and attentive.
The atmosphere was a enjoyable but a bit funny as we were probably the last customers of the day.

The only negative point is that they offer a non-vegan beer (and it's advertised on each table).
I hope they can change that, as it doesn't make much sense since they do offer other artisan beers and drinks to the customers.

Pros: tasty food, location

Cons: not all vegan

Amazing food

As a couple new to the vegan lifestyle we have been trying many different vegan restaurants and the food here was spectacular. The only thing reducing the rating from a 5 down to a 4 is the staff - don't really smile or care as other reviewers have mentioned. 5 stars for food 3 for staff. Must haves - grilled vegetables wrapped in zucchini and the Aztec taco

Pros: All the food

Cons: staff attitude

Delicious veggie burger

Four stars for the fantastic food! I went for the aubergine and mushroom burger with chili sauce and a salad, accompanied by mint lemonade. Ingredients were fresh, burger patty juicy and the portion size just perfect! Also the food came very quickly. Only thing I would like to mention that needs improvement is the attitude of the waiters, the blank and emotionless face on our waitress did not portray the passion for life that this place is trying to put across. The walls are decorated with beautiful colourful paintings, but one would hope that the deepest impression came from the inner beauty of the people who work there. And one other detail is that the stereo system is bust, so you can only really hear the blunt bass and that makes their nice music sound pretty terrible. All in all, worth a visit!

Pros: Burger, Lemonade

Cons: Impersonal and slightly apathetic service, Stereo system is broken and music sounds aweful

Good

The place is meant more for groups of 4-6 people because there are no small tables for just 2 persons. The attention is not the most welcoming and fast (and I speak Spanish) and not all choices in the menu were available.
I ordered a roll with guacamole and black beans, the taste was OK, I was expecting something more spicy and savoury but this was more like fusion food, more on the European side were the amount of spices are reduced to appease non-Latin American taste-buds. The price was fair but the amount was small, or maybe just the rolls are small? I only tried once.

The teas are good though.

Pros: Reasonable number of choices, Teas are nice

Cons: Small portions, It closes early on Saturday

Good vegan selection

So 4 stars for the diverse selection of vegan options and for being all Vegan. More tapas style. Only 4 stars because there were a good amount of communication problems, and also the restaurant seemed to not have all the ingredients on hand for a good number of things we ordered - bring your spanish knowledge to order or you will be throwing darts. We ordered the Lomo Saltado sandwich, which is made with Seitan, and were not impressed. We also ordered the mushroom sandwich and enjoyed the flavors. We went back a second time and ordered the Toast with eggplant spread (Quite good flavors), the Pasta Primavera (good flavors) and the Pasta with Mushrooms (Ok flavors). When ordering drinks ask to make sure they have all ingredients or they could take up to 45 min to receive.

Pros: Selection

Great Vegan in Miraflores

Delicious vegan menu. Small, casual restaurant on a quiet residential street in Miraflores. The service is a bit slow, but well worth the wait. I had a vegan version of lomo saltado, and it was amazing. Portions are a bit small.

came back twice

Funky, spacious space with excellent 'hamburguesa' and eclectic music. Both times we ordered the same thing... Burger with lentils and burger with black beans. Menu was in Spanish and the wait staff only spoke Spanish. Compared to other veggies places in Lima, this was our 'go to' place
