Great place to hang!

Great service! Our waiter was super sweet and extremely helpful with ensuring everything was vegan and helping us pick the most delicious thing off the menu. The atmosphere was fantastic! Beautiful murals everywhere and a great soundtrack. Our food was Devine! Definitely would recommend checking this place out while in Merida.

Pros: Great Service, Allows dogs, Chill vibe

Cons: Smallish portions

Lovely place!

I absolutely love El Apapacho; I have been here twice in 4 days specifically for the mole. It is exceptionally amazing! I could eat it all day. There are plenty of Vegan options as everything that’s listed vegetarian can easily be made Vegan - let them know.
The garden space outside is super cute and welcoming and in the baño, if you need, there are feminine products which I thought was super nice of them.
The staff is so friendly. There is a huge book selection, a clothing rack, where I bought a really nice and decently priced dress as well as really good natural soaps and other products.
This is a must visit place for sure and definitely have something with mole on it, you won’t regret it.

Pros: Amazing mole, Awesome garden space , Friendly staff; great products to buy

Cons: It’s not a completely Vegan restaurant

Try the molé!

A quaint little courtyard was a lovely setting for our family, with some lovely veggie options. They do serve meat as well, but I’m pretty sure everyone we saw there was eating the vegetarian options. This place is known for their molé, and it did not disappoint! Great value for the cost as well!

Love this place

Definitely one of my favorite spots in Merida. The serrano salsa is incredible. Friendly staff, delicious menu with numerous vegetarian and vegan options. I also have to give a nod to the bookstore - great selection, ranging from heavy theory to graphic novels and children's books.

Not recommended for vegans

The vegan food was pretty underwhelming here. The tortillas were hard and fat and broke when rolled. The fillings were raw black beans, fried onions and peppers with white rice and spongy soy meat. Pretty lame effort in my opinion. A little bit of guacamole would've gone a long way.

Pros: Vegetarian menu

Cons: Average food, Cardboard tortillas

Great place. Watched the chefs cook everything from scratch. Authentic Mexican!

Wanted to give this place 5 stars, but app would not let me. The ladies here are wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. The tortillas and guacamole were probably the best we’ve ever had!

Pros: Some vegan options , Many vegetarian options , Feminism books available to buy, cool art

Cons: No air conditioning - nothing they could do, Cockroaches nearby- but everywhere in Yucatán

Lovely garden, awesome food

El Apapacho is a colorful, cosy place with a green backyard that offers shaded seating. There's vegetarian und non-vegetarian food. Vegan options are certainly available upon request, the friendly staff even ask explicitly what kind of 'milk' you want in your coffee. The food is freshly made, really tasty and plenty - really good value!
