Delicious! - Edit
Local vietnamese and fusion kitchen. We had the „Chicken Rice“ which is very popular in Hoi An - very delicious! Bao Buns very a little bit small… Ambiente and the staff are very nice.

Best cooking class! - Edit
Our dinner here was excellent. The menu is full of delicious treats, combining vegan adaptations of Vietnamese dishes, some more "mainstream" plates (e.g. vegan cheese platter) as well as sweet cakes and nice drinks.
Read moreWe were so convinced and came back for the vegan cooking class. We can highly recommend this! It was full of love, very funny and a great experience.
Chickpea Eatery is a passionately run family business and you notice this in every little detail! We would have loved to come here more often.

Amazing food - Edit
I was in Hoi An for over a week and went there 6 times the food was so good! Staff were very lovely and kind. Have a range of Vietnamese and Western food. They also have some desserts - I tried the brownie, cinnamon roll and baked cheesecake. My favourites were the Cao Lau (Hoi An noodle dish), Bahn Bao and the brownie. They have outside seating with fans and chickens roam about. To get to the restaurant you need to walk down an alley but there is a sign on the main road with Chickpea eatery. I will definitely be going back next time I’m in Hoi An.

Nice setting.

I went for the Pesto pasta, personally wasn't my favourite but that might be due to the Thai Basil.

The food was fantastic! I got the 'chicken rice's and my wife got the 'beef' sandwich which were amazing. Had the mini bao buns to start off and wow, they're delish.

A must visit! - Edit
The food is so good. A lot of options available. The price is fair. We've been in Vietnam for 2,5 weeks. We travelled from Hanoi to Hoi An and it's the best vegan restaurant so far. The staff is very friendly. Also you can do a cooking Vegan Cooking Class. The food is very fresh and so delicious. We'll come back for sure!

I can’t recommend Chickpea Eatery enough, you should definitely visit if you’re in Hoi An!! The staff are so lovely and the food was AMAZING, we ate here everyday - the best vegan food I’ve had so far in Vietnam, and the prices were good! My favourite things were the Bun Cha Gio and Vietnamese pancake 😍 (also the notes they put on the food are so cute)

Yummy - Edit
Lovely place with chickens and a tiny little puppy trotting around. The food was yummy, especially the quesadillas. I wasn't as big a fan of the desserts -- they were okay but nothing special. Overall, i found it a bit pricier for what we got, but there were lots of options and everything was very well done

Sweet staff, fab food - Edit
Lovely restaurant run by ethical vegans. Their chicken rice was one of the best I’ve tried—juicy, peppery and very fragrant. We also loved the bao buns! They were rather nondescript in appearance but surprised us with their delicious flavour combination. I wasn’t so keen on the “Hoi An style smoothie” I got, as it was quite watery and plain. My partner popped back in the day after to get some banana bread and said it was disappointing—dry and stodgy. It seems their savoury food is where it’s at!
Read moreWe ate dinner here during the evening and sat inside as the outside seating was quite buggy, but we would’ve loved the chance to sit in the pretty garden courtyard in the daylight if we’d had enough time.

Wonderful place and kind staff! - Edit
Fantastic place in Hoi An! I went twice during my 2 day trip because the food was so great! Staff are so lovely and kind! Really extensive menu with both local Vietnamese dishes and western choices too. Food is fresh and flavorful. The vegan chicken rice was great as was the bahn mi! Desserts also shouldn't be missed! Loved sitting outside to eat in the little garden. Wonderful restaurant for everyone regardless if you are vegan or not! Highly recommend!

Delicious Food - Edit
We went to the Chickpea Eatery for lunch and had the most amazing meals, the flavours were divine. I was so impressed that I booked into the cooking class a few days later so I could recreate some of the meals when I got back home. It was the best cooking class I've done, so much fun and delicious creations. I knew that some of the ingredients wouldn't be available in NZ so the girls were super helpful in directing me to the right places to get them. The story behind the eatery is inspiring and the girls were all so lovely. I wish them all the very best.

Did the cookingclass there and went to eat.

Received so much information about vegan food, a lot of laughter, refreshing drinks, trip to the market (they know where to go and not to go;)). Everyone had their own little kitchen in the garden so you did everything yourself. So special what they do with mock meat, even use mock chickenskin.
HAVE FUN!
Pros: Lovely looking restaurant , Some of the best vegan/Vietnamese food ever, Wonderfull contact with the family
Cons: Be aware that the cookingclass is just 3 days a wk
