Get the plantains - Edit
The rice and peas were super flavorful. The fried meat ball dish was amazing too. Everything here was great and the staff is awesome. And don’t get me started about the skewers!!! THEY WERE AMAZING!

Tasty Puerto Rican Cuisine, Great Location - Edit
One of the many great vegan options on the new Saluhall. The use of plantains and vegan chicken make for a delicious and filling meal. Mofongos are good size and delicious. Support the vegan businesses in downtown SF and try it out!

Glad to see Lulu was able to find a new location. Took the ferry boat and nice walk here. The food court has a lot of options. I had the large chickin plate. Plantains, salad, rice, chickin. All well prepared and tasty. Great to see real plates and silverware used instead of to go packaging.

My husband and I shared the chicken sampler plate, a pork Pastelillo and a chicken pincho skewer. The sampler plate included chicken, rice, plantains and a green salad. The menu is 100% plant-based and everything was very flavorful and delicious, so amazingly good! Chef Lulu and her crew were super nice. This little place is a gem!

Had the chik'n and bbq chik'n sampler plates to split, and wow were they good. The rice, the skewers, the plantains, all had excellent flavor and spices, perfect texture, and couldn't stop eating until it was all gone. Can't wait to get more food from here again!

My first time eating Puerto Rican food, and I loved it! My friend invited me and I had to double check it was a vegan place, as it wasn't super obvious from the menu! I got the 'pork' sampler - the rice was very tasty and nicely seasonsed and the vegan meat was delicious. Also enjoyed their juice bags of the day (cucmber and hibiscus). The staff were very attentive and welcoming,and even gave us a free dessert at the end, which was super creamy. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible. Some of the best food I ever had in my life. That’s coming from a big time foodie. I grew up on the east coast, I’ve eaten Puerto Rican food all over New York, New Jersey, and Florida and I have to say this is top tier stuff. I wish I lived nearby so I could support all the time. This lady is insane with the cooking skills. Highly recommend!

Totally vegan, very delicious and rich food. Friendly staff and chef. Pastelillo was great; plantains excellent; fake pork well seasoned and crispy. Salad on the sampler plate was just mixed greens from the bag, but everything else was awesome. Very new restaurant at time of writing and clearly still getting organized.

Really delicious and authentic Puerto Rican flavors. You could feel the love that was put into each dish. Currently it's a pop-up and a small operation so be prepared to wait bit but highly worth it.

Opened as a restaurant with a few small indoor tables January 2023; they have more seating outdoors in a parklet that they intend to open as they’re able to keep up with orders. For now, I’d recommend ordering takeout or visiting early with plenty of time. For dine in orders the system is the same as to-go where you order online.
Read moreVery casual family-run place making mostly delicious, mostly fried authentic Puerto Rican food. Lots of Impossible meat dishes along with plant-based Caribbean staples such as yucca fries, plantains, rice and beans.
Price is fair for unique offering and I recommend trying it! Be prepared that most orders we saw were either late or missing items; the staff is super kind and wants every customer to have a great experience but the kitchen seems to not be operating at full capacity currently. Go with patience and grace and enjoy!
