The menu has changed as there only 2 vegan options - Edit
Only 2 vegan options which are not very exciting and healthy. Nachos with soy meat sauce and spaghetti with soy meat sauce. We waited quite a long time for our our simple order and as overall we are not impressed.

Great drinks, average service . - Edit
Ate here a couple times as it had a couple vegan options . The spaghetti was good - not too expensive. Avocado hummus Wrap was also good and fair price . Some stuff I found pricey for what it was . Such as the power bowls. Not much too them for how much you pay. Drinks were good upstairs but prices are high

Cute Cafe and Wonderful Breakfast - Edit
We stopped at Bear’s Cafe on our way out of Hakuba and are so glad we did. The hot ginger chocolate with soy milk was divine (they even gave us some vegan chocolate chips to accompany it!). The plant breaky was hearty, fresh, and delicious. We each got a side of hash browns to go along with breakfast and let’s be real ... can you ever go wrong with hash browns? The lunch and dinner menus here both have multiple vegan options, and I wish we had more time to try them, too!

Loved this vegan haven - Edit
This place was amazing! Over the week we tried pretty much the entire vegan/ vegetarian menu.
Read moreI can rate that the below items are vegan and all tasted amazing:
- Spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread
- vegan pizza (with soy cheese), we added jalapeños and chilli flakes
- soy chicken burger with vegan aioli
- for the happy hour menu, we swapped cheese to soy cheese for the garlic cheese pizza and it was amazing.
For breakfast there is a plant based breakfast which is delicious, the hummus was incredible. On my last day I had the vege panini and swapped the mayo for vegan aioli and cheese for soy cheese and it was delicious.
Drinks wise they have both soy and almond milk.
They have mochas, hot chocolates and I highly recommend the vegan ginger cocoa.
Make sure that you request vegan with the chocolate powder, as they use cocoa for the vegan drinks for no dairy.
Very accommodating, the staff are lovely and the food was delicious. We placed all of our meals on our eftpos card here and saved our cash for food for skiing up the mountain!
Pros: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, Soy and almond milk - they make good coffee! , Warm and cosy feel
Cons: Can be hard to get a table as is quite busy, Can be w wait for food (not enough to deter)

Some good vego and vegan options - Edit
Although not all day, the menu has good vegan options, and vego options all day. Staff understand concept of veganism. I'd go for dinner for best vegan variety.

Delicious & many vegan options! - Edit
Great atmosphere. Quite a few vegan and vegetarian options incorporated in menu. Majority of the cabinet desserts were vegan on the night we visited. We ordered the soy karage burger, health kick salad, spicy chips, peanut butter chocolate slice. All super tasty. Great to have so many vegan options in one restaurant.
