Too cool to be cozy - Edit
We had breakfast here. It was ok but very expensive and portion sizes were also small. The food could have also been presented much nicer. They prepare the food right in front of you, just like a subway but for bowls. Therefore, everything is cold and already prepared. The prices are wayyy too high for this kind of experience!

There is seating outside but it is really uncomfortable and not inviting for a longer stay or a cozy breakfast. The seating inside is basically just a big table (like a meeting table) and bar seating. So especially not for colder or rainy days!
Maybe an option when you want to eat a gut-friendly (because fermented), healthy porridge, but definitely nothing for a relaxed brunch/lunch.

This is such a beautifully designed and decorated place, and I love that they have outdoor seating as well.

We went here for breakfast once where I had the delicious banana bread, and my partner opted for one of the muesli options. Everything was tasty, and you could tell it was made with love.
The bathroom is an experience of its own. So beautiful and calming!
The issue, however, is that the prices are a bit too high. I understand that this is part of what they are selling, but the prices stopped us from coming back a second time.
Pros: Lovely atmosphere, What a bathroom!

Creative bowls - Edit
We had the bowl of the day and a small bowl, the cashew choc, vanilla smoothie and the mocha bean cake. Everything was good. The bowls would have also been nice if they would have been hot. The small bowl with lentils, chickpeas, cilantro, roasted sweetpotatoe, potatoes and nuts was very good and there was some additional lemon-like taste which made it surprisingly good. You can choose the ingredients of the bowl from the available veggies offered.

Beautiful - Edit
This was our only breakfast in Hamburg and it was a pleasant experience! It was a build your own porridge concept, with sweet and savoury options. The banana bread was also delicious. The shop is super cute too, great ambience.

I had a great experience at ÆNDRÈ the other day. The staff is well-informed and very personable. The sweet options were very yummy - but the coffee lacked flavor. Recommend.

I really love the concept and interior don’t get me wrong but I went there twice and I see no point in coming back other than looking cool sitting outdoors. Loved the golden milk but can be easily done same at home for ten times less.

Great little cafe - Edit
Thoroughly enjoyed this lovely cafe that had excellent food and wonderful coffee. Everything is homemade and really quite eclectic. We had a great breakfast there, and enjoyed a wonderful porridge and some great banana bread. Coffee was fabulous. Definitely worth a visit. Not cheap, but acceptable by Hamburg standards.

The atmosphere here is so nice, the interior is carefully decorated and the staff is very friendly. They offer outdoor seating but the street can be a bit busy.
Read moreThe food follows a pretty simple formula - you choose a base (for breakfast various porridges, smoothies or breads, savoury options the rest of the day) and then choose from various toppings. Interesting drinks and deserts are also available. Some of the food is raw.
So far I've tried the vegan shakshuka (with hummus), a raw cake, hot rice porridge a masala coffee and a green juice and have been very happy with all of it. Will definitely visit again!
