Good Food, Friendly Service, Unreliable Menu/Hours - Edit
Visited this place earlier this week after finding it while searching “Columbus Vegan Restaurants”. When I first arrived I noticed it was a clean place. The decor is pretty commercialized, to the point it is almost sterile. The dining area temperature was cold also. The server who greeted me was very friendly. They do provide good customer service.
Read moreWhen the food was brought out, there was a nice presentation to it. I tried their pizza which was really good. It is quite filling as well.
So you’re probably wondering why I gave them 3 stars. If I had wrote this the night I was there, it would have been a 4 or 5 star review. However, I called for a pick up order on Saturday. I was told “we just closed 7 minutes ago”. That is when I found out that they close at 5 pm on Saturdays (and Sundays as well which I can understand). I am not understanding the reduced hours on a Saturday evening. Today I thought I would try again. I wanted to try a different pizza that was on their menu. When I called to place my pick up order, I was asked to hold on so they could check to see if they had any pizza. I was then informed they did not have pizza and they don’t serve it on weekends. So, that reduced them to a 3 Star review for having limited weekend hours and not offering items they have listed on the menu.
If anyone would like to try them, I assure you the food is good. But definitely call ahead to verify hours and if the items you want to try are actually being served on the given day of your visit

Sunny Downtown Brunch Spot - Edit
4th & State is the perfect sunny downtown brunch spot! Whether you’re looking for a spot to hang with your crew, or to take your out-of-town visitors, this is a spot that will not disappoint. In addition to the spacious sunny dining room you’ll find excellent vegan brunch menu favorites as well as the new items the chefs are trying out! Be sure to follow them on Instagram because they are always testing out something new that you don’t want to miss out on (cheeze stuffed crust pizzas, chocolate lava cakes, and more- always vegan!). It’s also worth mentioning that the owner is just a solid dude worth supporting. He’s not only a vegan brunch master- but he’s also a person on the right side of history. Check out WOSU’s article where owner Chad Goodwin is asked about the windows broken in downtown protests against police brutality and systemic racism where he replies: “the protests are representing something much bigger than a minor inconvenience. So to be collateral damage in a scenario where a lot of people’s lives are at risk, yeah, tough, an inconvenience, but above all else it’s a sign that the system definitely needs some repair.” 10/10 recommend 4th & State!

Great vegan diner! - Edit
This great new downtown diner is all vegan and related to Eden Burger, Columbus' favorite all-vegan burger joint. I got the Vrunchwrap at 4th & State, and was not disappointed. The food was high-quality and delicious. I need to get back there and try more things. The staff were friendly and the dining room was more spacious than I expected.

ABSOLUTELY Loved it! - Edit
I Love to go out for breakfast! I used to get really frustrated because my pre vegan favorite breakfast spots, don’t offer any vegan food. I was thrilled to discover 4th and State! The breakfast was excellent! I had the pancakes, Tempeh, sweet potatoes with grilled peppers, and the cheesy just egg scramble. The food was seasoned perfect. My coffee was even excellent! Definitely my new breakfast spot!

We stopped by yesterday for a late lunch and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was great too. Would definitely recommend. My boyfriend got the BLT-Nini & I really enjoyed it as well. We split a Caesar salad (amazing) and I had the mushroom gyro!

Great breakfast - Edit
My husband and I both got the Statehouse Breakfast ($15 each) which includes 1 huge pancake, scrambled JUST Egg with peppers and onions, and tempeh bacun. It was all amazing! The scrambled JUST egg tasted just like a traditional scrambled egg and the pancakes were awesome and super filling-my husband couldn’t even finish it all. They also had donuts there from Destination Donuts and they were great too. It’s right in downtown with metered street parking. We went on a Saturday morning so parking was not an issue at all, but I’m not sure how it would be during the week.

Delicious - Edit
They are located in the center of downtown Columbus. There are paid parking meters all around. On weekends, there's hardly any cars parked at those meters; not sure about weekdays. Anyway, the food is delicious. The price is a touch higher than similar places since it is downtown.

New Downtown Veg Win - Edit
4th & State, owned by the same individual who owns Eden Burger in the campus area, is a new favorite for me! Columbus had been lacking in it's bunch-type options and 4th and State picked up the slack! I got one of their sandwiches and absolutely loved it. They came around to the tables with coffee refills and that's what put me over the top in love. Parking is metered street parking. Was not busy when we went, but I'm sure it'll be more packed during the week day lunch crowd times.
