Delicious food and generous portions - Edit
Cozy spot in central Zagreb featuring a wide menu of healthy, fresh, and organic vegan dishes. A number of their ingredients, like tofu, seitan, veggies, etc come from their own farm.
Read moreI went with my boyfriend and we tried their miso soup, bread with different spreads starter, the falafel, the garden burger, and the Hungarian layer cake. Everything was delicious, beautifully served, and portions were more than generous! I also appreciated how green every dish was and how fresh the veggies tasted.
The miso soup was lukewarm, but still very tasty. The homemade bread was kind of stale and not terribly good, but the bell pepper spread was very nice and the tofu spread was delicious! I did not particularly like the hummus spread—it was way too salty and did not taste great. The garden burger is not really a burger, but more of a chickpea pancake with a carrot and potato mash on top. It was flavorful, had a lovely texture, and was served with a hefty portion of fresh salad and steamed broccoli. Very recommendable. Finally, the Hungarian layer cake was absolutely delicious! Not too sweet like desserts often are, and served with very tasty and also not overly sweet soy ice cream. The texture of the cake is very interesting and it’s overall very soft and tastes like dark chocolate. Highly recommend!
Service is friendly and English-speaking. The place is very cozy. If you’re in Zagreb, this place is a must!
Pros: Lots of options, Big portions , Fresh
Cons: Pricey

Best Thing to do in Zagreb - Edit
I didn’t like the town of Zagreb very much and so I spent three hours eating here! Ha! The staff is so friendly and they speak perfect English. They also have an English menu. My favorite thing of the night was the brownie with chocolate ice cream. YUM! They never once bothered me to leave even though I was there for so long.

must try in zagreb - Edit
good food, good people.. and how many restaurants have their own farm? A lot of things sounded good, but the macro plate seemed the most straightforward thing to try. It was very healthy and fresh tasting, so I don't regret it, but sadly remain curious about the other choices. Had a piece of cake for take away which was also good. Only downside was the plastic, although their take away bag was compostable.

The food is delicious and the place is great. They use locally farmed ingredients, too. A bit expensive compared to other restaurants.

Amazing taste - Edit
This was such a good meal. I had the Cordon Bleu which, although not really what you expect, it was really tasty. I had a hemp cocoa smoothie that was also pretty tasty. Not cheap, but I don't agree with the "$$$" rating from happy cow. My meal was 110kn with drink.

Amazing food - Edit
This place is really really worth trying. We had the miso sesame soup, the quinoa salade and the mega protein plate. The soup was very nice with a lot of veggies and tofu in it. The salad was very simple but very good with a nice balance of taste. And the mega protein plate was AMAZING, it was one of the best tofu I’ve ever had. We didn’t try the dessert as we were full!

All-organic, all-vegan, all-delicious - Edit
Creative menu with just the right amount of choice. They grow most of their food themselves, even the tofu is homemade with soy from their own farm. Everything on the menu sounded so tempting, I may need to come a second time. A bit pricier than other options, but good value and still not expensive by international standards.

Ok, aber... - Edit

It’s a hidden gem. Next to a pub you have to go down the ally way but it’s there!
Read moreWe got there pretty late with 45mins until closing which made picking food harder because not everything was available
I got the falafel meal and it was lovely, the falafels were full of flavour and I have a lot of falafels and I can say they taste very different than the usual ones I have back in London. Their own Tahini sauce was delicious. Really enjoyed my dish.
My boyfriend order the mega protein which was a combo of soya and tempeh
Pros: Organic vegan restaurant!, Affordable not overly expensive
Cons: It’s hidden but then that could also be a postive, Don’t arrive later than 8:30 so you can pick food

Best Vegan Eatery in Zagreb - Edit
Zrno Bio Bistro is my favorite restaurant in Zagreb, hands down. I cannot get enough of this place! Everything on their menu is vegan and organic. Plus all their vegetables come from their own organic farm near Zagreb, or other local producers. They are a bit pricier than other places in Zagreb, but you can expect high quality and exceptional taste. Every time I visit I get the ginger udon soup with parsley tempura. It’s so delicious!

Very tasty and healthy - Edit
Great food, got the baked tofu and seitan cordon bleu which we liked the best. Julie ginger lemonade was refreshing on a hot day and not super sweet which I loved. The pudding was so good, I need to learn to make it. Had to exercise self control to not order another.

Vegan comfort food - Edit
They have many options, most more confort style food. The chili and the red pasta were good. I didn't care much about the "veiled farm girl" dessert, though, it had no flavor at all.

We ordered several items on the menu, the falafel and true Makro plate stood out. The sweet potato fries weren’t the best and the “smoothies” are just juices but everything else was great!
