Best vegan doner! - Edit
Not the first time I went to this place and still loving it!
Read moreIt's a bit expensive to my opinion (that's why I put 4 stars and not 5) but it's worth it!
I really like that they propose a kid meal that include french fries with vegan nuggets and a drink, my kid loved it!
Also, even if the doners and the kid meal were in disposable packaging when we asked for a glass for our son we received a reusable steel cup 👍🏻.
Pros: Reaaaaaally good, Kid meal
Cons: Little bit expensive for a doner

Delicious kebabs - Edit
Never been to this branch before but not disappointed. More choice than last time I visited. Marked down as extremely limited gluten free options (basically chips, as the falafel is rolled in flour) and the food was very salty. Nice to see a kids meal although would have been good to see a kids donor wrap option too.

Cons: Limited gluten free, No kids doner, Bit too much salt

Very tasty but missing the spark for me - Edit
This was my third visit to a What The Pitta and I’ve gone for the Doner Gyros each time. My previous two visits I felt the Doner Gyros had too much salad so this time I went for double Gyros meat and less salad. The Gyros meat is excellent and I enjoyed the wrap more this time with less salad and more meat but it just lacks the spark for me to give it a 5. I don’t know what it is because I would say the food is really good and an easy 4, but it’s just not a 5 for me.

Best Döner Wrap - Edit
One of the things I’ve missed since going vegan was döner and What The Pitta does an excellent job filling that gap in the market. Vegan döner is not easy to find in most cities so I was very excited to try this place.
Read moreI ordered the döner wrap which was around €9. The interior of the restaurant is modern with vibrant signs and a laid back atmosphere. The staff where very friendly.
The wrap came out quickly and was very large. I asked the employees about the Doner and they told me it was made with soy in house. The person at the counter recommended I opt for the garlic mayo and the chili sauce which made for a great balance of spice and sauciness.
I would recommend anyone in London checkout this restaurant as it has greats wraps for a fair value.

Maybe the best thing I’ve eaten in my almost 2 years of being vegan - Edit
On our trip to London I felt like I was going to break down and eat shawarma, as the smell and look of them on street corners were torturous!! But I kept it together and was a good little vegan.
Read moreI was wanting to try What the Pitra since I red others review about how amazing the wrap is. And I can confirm, it’s amazing!! All the toppings are fresh and plentiful and the full sized slightly spicy whole pepper tucked inside was a nice treat!
This should be a stop on every vegan’ers list in London and if they’re reading this hopefully they can open one in Toronto.
Pros: All vegan pitta shop, Donair that tastes like real thing

Delicious doner! - Edit
The most delicious doner wraps and boxes. The portions are huge and leave you feeling full but a good full. Lovely staff and they have quite a few options for a small shop (no toilets)

What The Pitta - 5 Stars - Edit
I am still completely shocked at how amazing the vegan doner kebab pita is! I've now eaten food from two of their locations in a short amount of time. My only regret I that wish I would have ordered food from this place sooner, I just always blew it off as being another doner kebab place, but it is leaps and bounds beyond the others. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited on a recent visit to London and we weren't disappointed. We had the doner mezze box and it was fantastic. The portion size was huge with generous amounts of salad and houmous and the doner meat tasted amazing. Can't wait to visit again

Don't get the hype - Edit
Perhaps it's because good vegan döner is easy to come by in Germany and the Netherlands, but I was really underwhelmed by the döner here. Found it a bit weird that dürüm seems to be the default version, but that wouldn't have been worth mentioning if the taste had been better. Maybe I should have had a burger instead or maybe it's just this branch that is disappointing.

Personally I think that it’s because vegan döner in Germany is better. Compared to other vegan pita in the UK it is better. The soft flat bread common in other countries is simply not the default here
