Yum! Awesome!

Veggie Galaxy was amazing! I had the Rueben with house made seitan & house made 1000 Island - so good! The dressing wasn’t overly sweet. We had poutine as a starter - highly recommend! Portions are generous & delicious. I hope we can make it back again during this trip to Boston.

Pros: Lots of veg options, Comfy seating, Great service

Cons: None....

Fun place!

This is my vegan comfort food dreams come true. I tried the vegan poutine and it blew me away. I also tried the peanut butter chocolate cake and honestly it was hard to stop eating. The fact that everything can be made vegan is amazing and I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of the menu. It’s great to have a vegan restaurant that doesn’t serve kale (I love kale, but seriously). The real reasons for 5 stars though: the wait staff was diverse, friendly, and attentive; they have a Close the Gap fee (please google this!); the atmosphere is fun and warm.

Pros: All the comfort foods

Amazing

This is my favorite place to eat, and it was before I event went vegan. The fact that this place existed actually made it a lot easier for me to make the transition to vegan, because I knew that I could still eat incredible food. Like other people have said, the food is greasy and not healthy, but it's delicious and so worth it.

Special shoutout to their vegan cheese sauce. It's so good it's crazy. My dairy eating friends will choose the vegan cheese sauce over real cheese every time.

Pros: Everything can be made vegan, Everyone is really nice , Absolutely delicious

Cons: Can get crowded (especially weekend brunch), Definitely not health food

The best vegan comfort food

I have never had a bad meal here. The problem is deciding what to choose. I like there is veggie options for my non-vegan friends.

Pros: Mac and cheese to die for. , Alcohol , Happy Atmosphere.

Cons: Parking is difficult if you’re not a local

My favorite vegan-friendly restaurant

When I lived in Boston, before I knew about this website, this was my favorite restaurant in town, no contest. I miss it so much! Brunch was the best, but later in the day, dessert was even better. I always walked away stuffed. Now that I live in Europe, where I've found nothing that can compete, I wish an enterprising vegan entrepreneur (and a baker) would come and transplant the goodness.

Pros: CAKE, actually the ENTIRE BAKERY, Stuffed French Toast, Vegan milkshakes to die for

Cons: Too many wonderful things to eat!, Dessert temptation, Very, very popular, so usually crowded

Food that takes you to a different galaxy

This restaurant will take you by the hand and guide you to a higher plane of taste existence. I had the macaroni waffle chicken burger and my mind was blown. Best food I have had in a looong time. Also had the macaroni balls and they were equally excellent. Make sure to order a side of onion rings, for the rings here are the most plush, perfectly crispy and delightful morsels of food I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. An extraordinary experience. The service was nice and the vibe of the whole place is awesome. If you take a trip to Boston, make this your prime eating destination.

Pros: Unbelievably delicious, Unique and comfort food, Great atmosphere and service

Comfort Food

It's so comforting to be able to look at a menu and know that everything can be made vegan or vegetarian and not have to pick through certain options. It may just be classic diner food but it's better than most diners!

Pros: Friendly Staff, Excellent Food, Nice Vibe

We've probably gone 100 times

There are times when all I want is to go to veggie galaxy. It is comfort food, totally friendly to vegans (they will make anything vegan) and really, sometimes we just go for dessert. Frankly, it's easier to get here from Somerville than to go all the way to Allston for FoMu if we just want dessert.

Look, there are times when service has been slow and or we haven't gotten water for 15 minutes, but that has gotten a lot better over time. These days it is more on par with other restaurants in the area. I take everyone who comes from out of town here, because even the pickiest carnivore will enjoy something at Veggie Galaxy. I hope it stays in Cambridge forever.

The Best

This is definitely among one of my top 3 veg*n restaurants. The food is great, the decor is really fun, they're always playing great music, and the overall vibe is just really friendly and welcoming. Sometimes the waits to be seated are a bit long but it's always well worth it. Once you're seated service is always quick.

I get something new almost every time I come here and everything I've had has been excellent. My favorites have been the buffalo chik'n burger, the vegan mozz sticks, and the shiitake bacon mac n cheese. Their desserts are also out of this dang world. Get the Boston cream pie if they have it!

Although they offer dairy and eggs on certain items I've never been worried about accidentally ordering a non-vegan dish. (A big issue at a lot of vegetarian restaurants I've been to.) You don't need to interrogate about the ingredients of every dish because they ALWAYS double-check whether you want it made vegan if it doesn't come that way by default.

It can be hard to pick somewhere to eat when you're somewhere like Boston and you're so spoiled for choice, but this place will always be close to the top of my list.

Pros: Great food, Awesome diner atmosphere, Vegan. Mozz. Sticks.

Cons: Long wait times, Tiiiiny bathrooms

hits and misses

Comfy diner where whole menu can be made vegan. Vegan French toast and blueberry pancakes were amazing with this yummy banana butter (think Apple butter made from bananas). Coffee frappe was big and yum. Lots of options for my non-vegan friends. Cinnamon donut was just OK, sort of tough. Seitan sausage was one of the most unappealing dishes I've ever gotten in a restaurant. Tempeh bacon pretty pathetic too. Skip the fake meat and you'll be happy.

My favorite veg restaurant in MA!

Anything can be made vegan and it is all delicious. This is a good place to bring omni friends to show them vegan food doesn't have to be salads and smoothies. I am a junk food vegan at heart and this place warms my soul every time I come here. Always a good day when I go to Veggie Galaxy.

Pros: Everything van be made vegan, HUGE portions

Cons: The limited time items can be a bit pricey, Home fries are not the best
