Delicious diner food made vegan - Edit
Very fun spot for diner food (and atmosphere!), made all vegetarian/vegan. Everything can be made vegan if it isn't already. Breakfast all day. Several vegan protein options available. Nice and helpful staff. Would go back there over and over trying different things.

This place is the best. My husband and I regularly make the drive in from Western Mass to get our fix. The only downside for me is that all the dessert creams are coconut based.

A staple when I’m in Cambridge - Edit
Veggie galaxy has a huge menu full of breakfast and lunch options, especially diner food. Anything that is not already vegan can be made vegan. I come here every time (sometimes multiple times) when I am in the Boston/Cambridge area

Yummy vegan diner food - Edit
This is a cute place with fast and friendly service and, most importantly, delicious food! I got the vegan (South) Western Ave omelet and it was so much food I shouldn't have eaten it all at once but it was too good to quit.
Read moreI'm pretty sure I've also visited this place on a previous trip to Boston and got a burger and fries, also great.
Pros: Very vegan friendly, Yummy food

My fav food in Boston - Edit
Everything I tried was to die for- from the vegan Mac with home made chick n seitan to the Boston cream pie to the fried pickles! I could happily eat everything off this menu. A must visit in Boston! FYI your whole party must be present to be seated

Amazing Awesome Diner - Edit
This place is awesome. Everything is vegetarian and everything can be made vegan. It’s pure diner classics. Had the vegan Mac and cheese bites-excellent. My wife had the stuffed French toast, truly superb. I had “the Rachel”, vegan corned beef, very good also the potato salad was a little sweet but yummy. My son had the Mac attack, spicy fried chick’n between Mac and cheese waffles, truly epic. Also the best vegan cheesecake I have ever had. I got the vegan egg and cheese breakfast sandwich to eat on the plane the next day, still great but could use some hot sauce. If in the Boston area, a must go!

Best place for vegans in Cambridge - Edit
This place is all vegan and there are so many variety of options to choose from: breakfast, lunch, dinner - served all day! The desserts are to die for, and they usually have some weekly special happening that you can find out some more on their website. Atmosphere-wise: it’s literally a diner made for vegans and I really love that nostalgic feeling of eating at a diner! The staff are always amazing too: always serves you with a smile, especially Hannah! 😊 If you’re visiting Cambridge and want plant based meals, definitely go to this place without second thinking about it!!!

Visiting the Boston area?! Veggie Galaxy is a must. - Edit
Veggie Galaxy is a completely vegetarian diner style restaurant located in Cambridge, MA with almost all menu items being able to be modified to be made vegan as well as many vegan by default dishes! The menu is huge with many options that hit all of your diner hopes and desires! My favorite go to is the vegan southwestern omelet with home fries and sourdough toast! The vegan pancakes are always a hit…if you still have room get a slice of the confetti birthday cake or a Oreo frappe to go!

A vegan greasy spoon (in a good way) - Edit
This was a fun take me back type of experience. A lot of eating without worrying about the “healthy” rating of the meal!

Delish veg/vegan diner & desserts! - Edit
The food is tasty vegetarian and vegan versions of diner classics. I highly recommend the poutine, mac, seitan chick’n, meatball sub. Desserts are all vegan, all top-notch quality, with many choices and rotating specials each week, and extra stuff on the weekends, such as a Boston cream donut. They even have a specific cheezecake special each week, and they know how to make good cheezecake. Don’t miss this one!

The absolute best - Edit
I want to live in this diner. I want to eat here every day. This is how good it is, seriously! The menu has so many amazing options, everything can be made vegan and all desserts are vegan by default. I had the chick'n & waffles and the Boston cream pie because I don't think I could get them anywhere else, and both were absolutely delicious. But I would definitely come back to try other items. What an incredible restaurant!

Great - Edit
Great comfort food, tons of vegan comfort food options. Pretty quick service.
Read more*French toast - good but still very reminiscent of bread slices. Missing that rich eggy gooey inside and thick crispy eggy crust all over.
*onion rings (ordered the vegan Blu cheese with it) - excellent
*galaxy burger with Cole slaw - great although kinda struggled to keep it all together while eating.
*galaxy breakfast sandwich - great
*blueberry pancakes - great, but apple compote was a little too cinnomony or something
*rueben - good
*gyro - 9/10 great
*fried pickles - 9/10 great (tho when I ate them as takeout they weren't that crispy. I assume that's more because they weren't as freshly made. The pickle was a bit floppy too.
*special salad - 9/10 great
Would be amazing to see the menu go full vegan someday!

Craziest food I have ever eaten - Edit
If you want a US diner experience as a vegan, this is the place. The food was crazy, good but very filling and big portions. We were full for about 3 days. This is not a place for vegetables.

Awesome vibes and great food - Edit
This place has fun retro diner vibes, and a menu to match. I chose the meatball sub (where the meatballs are made in-house I believe) and took it to go. It was a *huge* portion size and lasted me 1.5 maybe 2 meals, which made the price point perfect.

Astronomically delicious - Edit
Only by pure luck did I manage to arrive at Veggie Galaxy after a frigid and wind-battered journey through the streets of Boston. However I’m here to say that although I faced many trials whilst stumbling after an unreliable navigator— twists and turns, traffic threats, etc.— the efforts were worth it a thousand times over . Frozen solid I limped into the glowing oasis that was Veggie Galaxy, and was immediately transfixed by its retro galactic charm. The promise of plants was the cherry on top and soon i was enjoying the vegan Southwestern Omelette dish which blew my socks off all the way to Texas and back like a magic sock boomerang . When i tell you i was stupefied and infuriated by the complex perfection of this vegan omelette i mean every word . a culinary masterpiece. I will be back very soon and i will be ordering the exact same thing . thank you veggie galaxy and thank you to our unsmiling waiter who morosely stated “Bone Appetit“ with a straight face i lost it so funny I love you veggie galaxy i miss you already

unreliable_navigator
Hello, aforementioned "unreliable navigator" here 👋🏻. As expected, gnomes2000 provided a colorfully descriptive if not slightly exaggerated review once again, and I feel obligated to set the record straight on a few key issues: #1. The onion ring shade is completely unwarranted. We actually ordered the fried pickles which were underwhelming to say the least (I prefer when they are crispy coins and these were more like doughy hunks...sauce provided was good tho) #2. As for my navigation, we missed one (1) measly turn that ultimately added a delightful 10mins to our beautiful stroll through the cambridge port area. #3. Regarding the weather conditions, the temperature was above 45*F and had my companion notified me of their freezing bones, I would have gladly swapped them my heavier jacket. # In closing, this was my 2nd visit to the delightful Veggie Galaxy, and it certainly won't be my last! On my first visit, I was lucky enough to try the shooting star special jackfruit chimichanga which was delicious. On the excursion graceously described above, I was fortunate enough to try the cheddar broccoli soup which was packed with great flavors and helped to cure my lingering head cold. thank you ♥️

A bit disappointing... - Edit
I'd heard so much about Veggie Galaxy, but I was a little let-down. I have many allergies and the waiter was a bit flippant. It felt burdensome to ask about the ingredients and the waiter was a bit annoyed to answer my questions. The food was good; we ordered (all vegan) waffles, mac and cheese, and broccoli and cheddar soup. However, I had an allergic reaction pretty quickly. If you have allergies, I wouldn't recommend it.

Out of this world vegan food! - Edit
Honestly if there’s one restaurant that could have a 5 star without being 100% vegan it’s Veggie Galaxy. A fun fast paced diner that’s 99% vegan and for some reason offers dairy in some meals but everything can be made vegan. This place has whatever you want ! Burgers, waffles n chicken (my usual) milkshakes, cake, donuts the list goes on. Conveniently located next to The Middle East music venue . There’s also a couple parking garages near by. Boston’s best.
