Amazing!!! One of the best restaurants in Kyoto!!! - Edit
The two people running this restaurant were the nicest people and the food was amazing!! (I had the soy BBQ)I also loved the music playing in the background. All in all it was really homey, not too pricey and just a great evening. Would absolutely recommed!

Yesterday i ate at this cute, cosy restaurant run by Taka en Mini, two very nice people.

Cute little vegan restaurant - Edit
Has a good amount of available dishes. Menu sets with a daily soup and/or drink are available. They also adjust some drinks and sweets based on seasonal availability of ingredients. The owners are very friendly and speak good English. As it is a rather small restaurant, it’s possible that there is no free seat left during peak hours and you’d have to wait some time.

Nice interior setup and spectacular service. Super English friendly. Enjoyed a conversation with server and an extended one with a new friend at the bar!
Read moreI have never had Korean BBQ before, but it was awesome. I got it with the noodles and black bean. The BBQ is very salty and tasty. The black beans were good, but something just a bit lacking from the 'soy chunks' in it. However, not bad. Desserts were great, would recommend!

Goed: Leuk klein restaurant. Mooi ingericht en heel aardig verwelkomd. Eigenaren zijn erg aardig en de menu en de winkel zagen er leuk uit. Eten was lekker, leuk en mooi gedecoreerd en kleurrijk. Prijs was redelijk in verhouding.

Stumbled upon this place and enjoyed both the Kimbap and barbecue bowl. Quantities are a bit small depending on how hungry you are. Couple that owns the restaurant are great!

Such a cute place, only a short walk from the subway. I had the bibimbap with kimchi, and I liked that there were 3 serving options depending on how much rice you wanted. Was also tempted by the rainbow kimbap that the next table had, but the bibimbap was very filling. Love that they sell zero waste grocery things as well!

Perfect vegan Korean food - Edit
I found this spot on Google Maps not through Happy Cow and it needs a boost. I went a few months ago so I don’t remember specifics except that it was bomb and definitely worth a visit. Bring Tupperware if you want take out or to go as it’s zero waste.

Small, unique and with a passionate owner, the food and drinks here are incredible all be-it a small menu but dont let that put you off. Me and my wife came here and had the cold black bean noodles as well as the spicy soy beef rice bowl, both were delicious!

No words can acutely come close to showcasing how amazing this place is! The two people who work here are super nice and speak English and are more than happy to help. I love the zero waste aspect of the restaurant especially since it’s not everyday you see zero waste in Japan! The food is simply sublime 😍 There’s a chili paste that you can add to your food if you wanted a bit of a kick/spice. I was really lucky and got in on a day where it was super quiet since I was able to get seated rather quickly. In true zero waste fashion, the owner gave us leftovers that weren’t sold (since it wasn’t as busy as expected and they cooked more food) rather than throwing it out! I highly recommend coming here! I, for sure, will be making another visit before I leave Kyoto!

We showed up right when they open at 1 and immediately got a seat for 4. Menu and service were in English. Setting was delightful. AC was strong! We were a little hungrier than the portion size, but if we went again it allows you to choose the portion size. Bus stop was just a 5 minute walk away.

Our favorite restaurant so far in Japan! Lovely eclectic atmosphere and amazing Korean food. We ordered the bibimbap and Korean BBQ plate, with homemade ginger & lemon syrup and tonic (with the large jar of ginger and lemon in front of us at the bar), and ended with delicious scones. Service was very friendly and communication in English was easy. A must-do in Kyoto!

This restaurant is a very pleasant place. The waitress was nice and the food was satisfying although could use a bit more flavour. Had to ask for more salt and chilly. Price is reasonable- we paid about 2000¥ for Bibimbap and Jajangmyeon. Waiting time was long but I assume it is not always like that as she was very sorry and apologized multiple times for a long waiting.

I had bibimbap and a slice of pound cake. Both were fantastic and the price was also reasonable. I personally felt the normal size bibimbap wasn’t quite enough for me though and if I go back I’d take the larger one.
