Are here today and got the chik’n and waffles. The cornbread waffles were amazing and the chik’n was so crispy. The chive butter was a great addition to the waffles. Will definitely be returning!

Chives Gone Wild - Edit
Awesome and delicious American style vegan comfort junk food, plus their Vietnamese style iced coffee is fantastic. We ate the fried pickles, the stuffed french toast, the country style breakfast and the tempeh club sando and all were highly edible.
Read moreI asked and one of the owners is vegan and the chef is vegan, only a couple of the other staff were which is a shame because this would be a dream job for a vegan hospo worker. Vegan LGBT safe space, casual dining room, weekend brunch and super scrumptious junk food with dark green leafy bits mixed in for good measure. No jive, loved Wild Chive.
Pros: vegan chef, vegan junk food , vegan dining experience

Best vegan french toast - Edit
Stopped here with my girlfriend for lunch and its a really cute place, the decor is nice and staff are super friendly and attentive. We order the stuffed french toast, literally the best thing I've ever tasted, presentation was on point. We also order the Chicken and waffles, very tasty! Good amount of toppings and drinks selections. Highly recommend trying one of their iced coffees while you wait, they're very well done. Highlight of my trip to CA!

The atmosphere is wonderful. With the garage door open, it feels like you’re right by the water with the nice breeze blowing in.

All staff was friendly, highly recommend making a reservation.

Best Brunch - Edit
I used to buy The Wild Chive's food when they are selling in pop up tents and once at a pop up at Portfolio Coffee House. The chef is pretty creative and the food has improved.
Read moreMy favorites at this visit were the Breakfast Banh Mi and Stuffed French Toast. The Banh Mi is a bit spicy due to the chili inside. The Stuffed French Toast is very good, filled with housemade Nutella type paste, fruits, and served with coco cream and maple syrup.
Husband ordered the Wendy's Breakfast Skillet. The tofu scramble, toast and gravy were yummy but the potatoes underneath it were salty. That's too bad, a little less salt would have been perfect.
I still gave 5 stars because my dish was yummy. We shared the Stuffed French Toast as a dessert.
The service was friendly and attentive. We would be back.
The restaurant is very airy. I like the big garage type glass door in the back which was opened, we enjoyed the fresh air from the ocean.
The only thing that is an issue could be parking. But this is Long Beach. #Veganuary
Pros: Tasty, Best brunch, Service
Cons: Parking, Part of the dish can be too salty

Fantastic - Edit
Congrats to Soozee for making her dream come true! I first tried The Wild Chive as a pop-up at a farmer's market and now it's a bustling, established brick & mortar! Food wouldn't disappoint anyone, vegan or not. I've been in a crummy mood today and the positive energy made it better ^_^ and of course the amazing comfort food. So tasty. I got the chick'n and french toast which is very heavy and filling. Also the vietnamese coffee💗It was so busy for Sunday brunch I had to take my order to go!

Hubby and I went to Long Beach for a weekend getaway. I am so pleased we found this little gem of an eatery. Comfy, quaint, and the food is the bomb dot com! The only down side is Flies... the side of the restaurant has a roll up grage type door. We were waving away flies the whole time.

You sure that ain’t ham? - Edit
We got brunch to-go and my golly. The monte cristo…That was the most ham-like vegan ham I’ve ever had. The French toast is just excellent, and the jam and gravy are *chef’s kiss*. We also had the French toast and chik’n and woowee it was incredible. The mac and cheese was great, but different than others we have had that we prefer. Not the best, but definitely top tier.
Read moreIf you’re the kind of vegan who shies away from meat alternatives because they are too much like the real thing, you may want to not order something without “meat.”
My partner and I travel often and look for quality vegan food wherever we go, and this is one of the best vegan comfort-food places we’ve ever been too. 10/10 highly recommend.
Pros: Excellent variety of options, Super fast take out, Most non-vegan tasting vegan food I’ve had
Cons: Can be too “meaty” for those who don’t like meat

Some of THE BEST vegan food I've had in a loooong time! We shared the Monte Cristo and the BLT. Absolutely recommend both. Super fluffy delicious bread. Proportions were perfect. Melty yummy cheese. And a cute environment with sweet staff. Cannot wait to eat through this entire menu!

Fat vegan food not health vegan food but oh so good - Edit
Just like birthday cake comes once a year, so you may want to limit your Wild Chive meals so that it's a treat, a very heavy treat. Been eating at Wild Chive since it was a small but extremely popular pop-up at a coffeehouse. Those items are still on the menu (and same loyal staff!) but the menu has expanded to some dinner items over time, etc. Fair warning: the food is extremely rich and heavy but that gives it the flavor that omnis like too so it's easy to have brunch in a mixed group. Recommend getting the french toast and the monte cristo and splitting it so that there's a balance of sweet and savory. Food so rich that it becomes too much though, especially the fake ham so then you need a Wild Chive detox at some point. The Vietnamese coffee is good too but is as sweet as the food is rich. Love that you can order online. Parking is non-existent but usually manage to snag a spot to grab to go orders. Once in person dining is in full swing, you may have to park far away but then you'll be walking off some of the food.

We are lucky to have gotten a place one block from The Wild Chive & now pick up food about once a week there. It's so good, such great quality and portions are outstanding but the best part is the super nice & friendly staff.
