Dont come here if you are latino - Edit
The only thing that was good was the tres leches cake and even that was just a 7/10. Everything else was pretty inedible. Dont recommend this place for my fellow paisanos. The dishes have almost no flavor. The waffles and crepes are dry. The cheese in the quesadilla tastes horrible. It all tastes like it came from a can. The chips are so thin and brittle, they break off in your hands before you are able to eat the nachos. Maybe this is catered more for people that dont like much flavor.

Great Long Beach Cafe - Edit
Great neighborhood cafe with great menu and good customer service
Read moreI have eaten their food through delivery and it. As good, but today I finally made it in to eat at the cafe.
I had the Reuben with potatoes and Earl grey tea. The portion sizes were good. I was satisfied with 1/2 the sandwich but it was so good I struggled to save the second 1/2 for later.
Our server was attentive and didn’t rush us as we were there longer than we should have been chatting enjoying a warm spot on a rainy day. (There were several open tables we weren’t making others wait)
Check them up and enjoy.

Very good choice - Edit
This has become one of our favorite places to eat. The best part is that it's ALL VEGAN. A good variety of meals, from American to Italian and Asian to Mexican. Tonight we enjoyed the Sopes and Molotes from the Oaxaca menu. Along with dessert and cappuccino. The staff are always GREAT and make this a pleasant go to vegan cafe.

Delicious vegan with lots of variety - Edit
I have enjoyed every dish I've had here, but I keep going back to their chilaquiles. Coffees are excellent, as well. And if you like spicy, you'll want to buy a bottle of their hot sauce to bring home. They are always willing to add extra greens or make other changes you desire. Pleasant indoor and outdoor seating, but it is located at a busy intersection, so a tad noisy outside, at times.

The Grain Cafe has approximately 5 locations. This is the 1st time visiting Long Beach. Food prepares fresh. Staff were nice. Love the food. If you are close to this location I would eat here. Delicious 😋

The Grain Cafe - Edit
I had the French toast. Comes with a side of fruit. I had a side of oak milk which was grainy. To be honest the service was just as bad as the food.

Waffles and Tuna - Edit
Man alive I tell ya that was the best vegan tuna melt ever. Good tuna has been illusive to me being vegan and they knocked it out of the park. The pumpkin waffles...*chef's kiss*... delicious. I highly recommend going here. The folks there were very nice and friendly.
Read moreLastly... y'all... they have vegan jerky that is divine. I got the mild spicy flavor. I think im going to get some as a holiday present for my brother is it so good.
The only thing I could say is their tofu scramble was a little bland, and not a very large portion. Still tasty, but not as good as mine.
Pros: Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner , Lovely sitting area inside and out, Fancy tuna!!
Cons: Parking is a little rough during the busy times

Tasty but mostly just okay - Edit
We came for the vegan breakfast and both ordered the breakfast burrito. It was tasty but nothing amazing. I've definitely had much better vegan breakfast burritos. They were a little dry and didn't have a ton of flavor. Not a bad place if you're in the area though.

We found this cool cafe enroute to San Diego. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. We ordered a soup special which was heavenly. I had the Reuben, which was the best vegan Reuben I ever had. My husband enjoyed his burrito.

Simply the absolute best!!! - Edit
Came into town for a vacation from the Central Valley and just knew I’d be in vegan food Heaven. Found this place on happy cow. Organic and vegan? That’s right up my alley. But how does it taste? DIVINE!!! Was in town for 4 days and decided to forego any other places and stick to this one because every single item we tried was impeccable. Opted for outdoor dining each time which was awesome. Servers were kind, helpful and amazing. Can’t wait to escape the Central Valley again because when I do, I’m coming right back to The Grain Cafe’. I truly wish the owners would expand to Fresno because my goodness, we need them!!! Had the waffle deluxe, French toast, chorizo torta, club sandwich, breakfast burrito, ginger lemonade and sun butter smoothie. Literally everything was impeccable. Even the items we took to go held up so well hours later was still delicious! Can’t think of enough words to describe the deliciousness. Seriously. Thank you for existing Grain Café!❤️

Amazing! - Edit
So great, entirely vegan and exactly what I was looking for like a diner style vegan breakfast menu.
Read moreI got the deluxe waffles, waffles with tofu egg scramble and sausage that's perfect because I can never choose between sweet or savory breakfast. It was amazing and I still had leftovers!
Boyfriend got the club sandwich that was chickn and tempeh bacon, he asked for bbq sauce on the side and they gave him this bbq mayo sauce that was awesome. It also looked beautiful presented over the salad.
We also shared a chocolate milkshake and sunbutter smoothie (as someone allergic to peanuts I very much appreciated having a non peanut smoothie option with that nutty flavor) our bill was just over $40 which we try to keep closer to $30 but splurging for 2 drinks instead of sharing one I think did us in lol
P.s. i think there may be a donut shop with vegan options across the street? We're going to investigate that now!

Huge menu - Edit
This place has a huge vegan menu. Usually I’d say that this many options would be overwhelming, but at Grain Cafe it’s honestly exciting. The mocha lattes are amazing, I’ve gotten the club sandwich so many times I can no longer count! The food quality is consistent and the staff are always very attentive. Well worth a trip.

When you’re not sure what you want - Edit
We went here for the first time, today and had a great time. The restaurant has a great variety of options, from diner sandwiches, brunch food, pizzas, and Mexican food, they even have a new Oaxacan supplemental menu. I had the wet burrito and the Cappuccino Italiano. The burrito was filling and delicious (I had the chicken), and the cappuccino was outstanding! I had to ask what milk alternative was used and i was surprised that it was almond milk.
