Delicious vegan tacos! The margarita was surprisingly good too; not too sweet. The tacos were so flavorful and well seasoned. I was hesitant about the fish taco but it was so good! Next time I gotta try those loaded fries or nachos *drooling*

I ordered over the phone for pick-up. Easy ordering and pick-up process. “Pollo” burrito was packed with ingredients, flavor was solid not outstanding, especially for the price I paid. I enjoyed the veggies I added. Would likely come back to explore more of their menu.

Very tasty vegan Mexican food in a cute setting - Edit
I had a traditional burrito with the 'pollo', which was soybean based, and the chipotle mayo. This was the best burrito I have had in a long time, and the chipotle crema was incredible!! They also had a limited edition strawberry horchata which was fun. Lovely place to sit outside with a covered patio. Reasonably priced and decent portion sizes.

We had the fish taco (which was great), the taco plate with one peach of the proteins (I really loved their jackfruit, which was deliciously smoky), and the traditional burrito with the seitan. The burrito is slightly fried and comes to you cut in half. All was very good/great. The chips and guacamole were the only place they faltered. They were bland.

Best Vegan Mexican Food in LA - Edit
Sugar Taco is my favorite restaurant. I love everything about it - it has the best atmosphere, the best vegan food, the best drinks, and the nicest people work there! I was eating sugar taco and not knowing it was vegan and still thought it was amazing! The nachos taste like nachos that queso is so good! My favorite items from sugar taco are the chicken nachos, the loaded fries with chicken, the quesadilla with Carne Asada, the fish tacos, the chicken tacos, burrito with chicken or veggies, and the drinks! My favorite drinks are any of the margaritas I've tried all the flavors and they're all equally as good the strawberry and watermelon ones are great if you like sweet tasting stuff the spicy margarita is spicy more so than the traditional and the ghost pepper margarita has a super kick and is super spicy I personally love it and I love spicy margaritas! The watermelon Fresca is really good if you want a nonalcoholic drink. Make sure to ask for dipping sauces on the side I believe they do cost money for the quesadilla like guac salsa and sour cream if you want it you can also get a side of queso extra with your loaded fries or nachos if that's your vibe! I could eat sugar taco every single day of my life and be perfectly happy. The holiday burrito is actually really good if you try it I tried it around Thanksgiving of this year I believe it's seasonal but totally worth a try! The jungle juice is a fun thing to get for a date night or a group if you're looking for an alcoholic beverage to share!

Offers a great and wide variety of authentic Mexican foods made plant-based. It is extremely hard being Mexican and not being able to eat 95% of the food my family makes, so this is a great option for me. Food is always delicious, atmosphere is great, and staff is wonderful.

This location is my go to when it comes to cooked vegan food in general, especially when I'm in the Mexican mood. The loaded fries are my choice and man oh man, when I change my mind after my order, or I miscommunicate what I would like or by a random fluke I get a different "meat" or salsa than I ordered, literally nothing here can be wrong. It's all amazing and hits the spot. Only thing I personally won't do a third time would be the ghost tacos. Too hot for me to enjoy, they are designed for the loud mouth friend of yours who "can handle anything," as they're no joke.

I walked in here twice, months apart. I was in the area today, immediately from NARD 2021 where I just came from where they spoke and promoted Sugar Taco. Wait time for walk-in customers is 45 minutes, just like last time. "We're just so busy today" is probably on page one of the employee manual. So I haven't tried the food yet.

Skip the beans rice- totally flavorless.
Ambience inside was lovely- cozy and vibrant.

Not only was the patio pleasant, comfortable and beautifully decorated, the food was delicious. I had a burrito that was so huge, I couldn’t finish it. My husband’s tacos were delicious too, but left him still hungry after eating the three small tacos. He gladly helped me finish my burrito.

I wanted a place that pretty authentic Mexican tacos which I can't find anywhere on east coast (where I'm from). THIS place is it. Such delicious flavorful tacos! I also highly recommend the quesadillas. The vegan cheese they use is SO good. I also loved their horchata (perfectly sweetened).
