Very good vegan restaurant in Munich. Good accessible by tram and U-Bahn. The spring rolls as starters were amazing! And also the hot pot as main dish was very good. It comes with a big plate of veggies and tofu to put into the hot pot.

Das Essen ist nicht nur lecker, sondern auch mal was anderes, neue Sachen die man sonst nicht beim Standard Asiaten bekommt, inkl. der Cocktails (mit und ohne alk), es war alles so bunt, viel zu lecker und so frisch, wirklich wirklich nice!

We had a really great lunch. The food was really tasty. Summer rolls and a rice bowl with fake chicken. The homemade ice tea was delicious. The prices are totally adequate and the service was accurate. The interior is elegant and eye-catching.

We really loved this place. Everything is vegan and super yummy. We ordered some appetizers and shared a dessert and everything was super yummy! I can really recommend this place, just be aware of the opening hours!

Man bekommt hier wirklich was fürs Geld. Sehr leckeres Essen, auch schön fürs Auge, super Atmosphäre, schöne Einrichtung. Werde definitiv wieder hingehen wenn ich in MUC bin. Wir haben was für 2 Personen bestellt, 3 Gänge, genial. Einziger minus Punkt: Langweilige und zu wenige Nachtisch Optionen.

Read moreI went there for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday evening. I had a reserved a table at 18:00 and when we arrived it was completely empty in the quite large restaurant. More and more people kept dropping in throughout the evening, however, and around 19:30 it was completely full and the sound volume was quite loud.
The menu is completely vegan and there were a lot of seemingly delicious dishes to choose from. It felt like a lot of them were pretty similar, though. I decided to order a noodle dish (about 15 €) and a drink (about 5 €) which both arrived after a reasonable amount of time.
The noodle dish was good, but not amazing (3.5/5).
The drink was very tasty (4/5).
The service was good throughout the entire evening, nothing to complain about (5/5).
One thing that I found really nice was the decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant, the lightning was kind of cozy dark and the style gave off asian vibes (4.5/5).
All in all I am satisfied with my visit to Soy, and I would not mind going back some day. To deserve a 5 star rating, however, the food needs to be a little bit better! :)

Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker. Unbedingt die Tapas wählen. Frisch, gesund und geschmacklich top. Ebenfalls sehr schnell fertig. Lediglich der Service ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Nicht schlecht, aber die Teller und Gläser werden sofort abgeräumt, wenn der letzte Bissen gerade im Mund verschwunden ist.

Wir waren 2 mal dort jetzt, das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut. Dafür ist der Service absolute Katastrophe. Das erste Mal dachten wir, es wäre Zufall. Beim zweiten Mal war klar, dass es leider einfach so ist. Person spricht teilweise kaum deutsch und versteht seht wenig. Essen kommt irgendwann, völlig durcheinander und planlos.

Went there with a reservation for 8 people. After 1.5 h we had to go as the next reservation was waiting! Couldn't even finish our drinks. Food was boring. Only tofu without flavour. The only thing what was good was the quick service.

Veganes Restaurant, bei dem jedes Gericht Soja/Tofu enthält (wichtig für alle, die kein Tofu mögen). Geschmacklich sehr vielfälltig, gut und optisch ansprechend. Perfekt auch für einen Restaurantbesuch mit Nichtveganern.

I'm puzzled by the hype - Edit
I reserved a table for three people online and got a confirmation email. When we arrived in the evening, the place was already packed, they didn't seem to have a free table and one of the employees got really angry at a colleague of his because of that. We waited and then were seated. The interior is very pretty, however I feel this restaurant only looks good and that's it. I don't know whether we just ordered the wrong dishes, really. We felt the food was rather salty and overladen with mushrooms of all sorts rather than veggies, as a dip I got simply soy sauce for one if the dished which made it even more salty. Only one big soup one of my friends ordered she said was tasting really good - but again, it was packed with mushrooms rather than veggies. We also got the dishes at very different times although we asked whether they can just bring it out all together. It was really loud and hot inside and when asking for the bill the waiter just didn't come back for at least 15 mins. I had to leave earlier so I handed my friends the cash eventually (you can't pay by card there). I will not go there again, but think everyone should make up their own mind. Will try the other hyped Hippie Chay next time.

I really liked the food, it is a little different to the other vietnamese vegan places in Munich I‘d say. Bottled water is quite expensive but you can ask for tap water, too. I‘ll definitely go back to try the other things :)
