Read moreI had the Buritto and an order of Taquelas, while Susan had the Chickpea burger. The burger looked awesome and held together well. The buritto filled me and has a surprise crunchy section with crushed chips.
We walked away full.
Pros: Vegan, Very nice presentation. , Good people watching
Cons: I would have liked my Mayo to have a strong garlic

I was not wowed by any of the dishes and the prizes were a bit higher for very simple dishes.
Read moreQuality was more than fine, but 22€ for a simple sandwich and some croquette is excessive. The vegan cheese was not even melted.
As I said, not bad by any means, I just think there are better options in Madrid.

Best gazpacho ever! - Edit
Everything we had was amazing but if you only went for a glass of white wine and gazpacho you’d be extremely happy. The complimentary toast starter told us we’d made a solid choice from the get go!

No puedo creer que aún no hubiera venido a este sitio. Dan ganas de probarlo todo en la cart. Tomé las lentejas del menú del día y estaban deliciosas. Además, un bocata de no calamares que estaba espectacular. Con muchas ganas de regresar.

Favorite spot in Madrid - Edit
We visited 2 other similar places in Madrid and this one was by far our favorite. Great food and great staff!
Read moreWe had the best vegan calamari ever. It was suspiciously good. We even had to check if it was actually vegan.
The portions are really big so be mindfull when you order. We came in very hungry and ended up ordering way more food than we needed.
If you want to visit this place over the weekend be sure to make a reservation. We didn't have one the second time we came there and couldn't find a place to sit.

If you don’t want to be left out and try the typical ‘bocadillo de calamares’ (squid sandwich), this is the place to have it. Absolutely delicious. The fungi croquettes were also out of this world.

I tried 3 times to go there because it is so full on the weekends but when I managed I loved it! The food was soo great! The calamari’s almost tasted too authentically, it was crazy. The place is also nice, the staff is friendly, the prices are super fair and the potions are quite huge (I had 2 tapas and could not finish) also you get an Appetizer for free which is super delicious as well :)

I enjoyed the pleasant service and good food. A complimentary tapa was brought, while I perused the English-language menu. A midday set meal is offered for EUR 12 (Dec-2023), but I ordered the chickpea burger and a glass of tinto de verano. The burger was good (liberal use of mustard), the bun was good (it was not the gluten-free one), and the accompanying potato wedges with mayo dip were excellent. I finished with a lime-themed dessert-in-a-cup. I hoped to return to try their pizza, but didn’t manage it (wish the kitchen opened earlier than 1 pm).

Probamos los nachos, los calamares y la tortilla. A los nachos les falta alguna salsa de queso, los calamares están muy buenos y dan muchísimo el pego y la tortilla es de patata cocida, yo la prefiero siempre de patata frita. El staff muy atento y atienden muy rápido. Quedamos pendiente de probar las hamburguesas y pizzas.

Santa y Pura is a lovely little spot for a meal, a snack, or a drink. We ventured out for Tapapies, an appetizer festival with 100+ participants. Santa y Pura was our final spot and delivered quite a finale. Not eating a full meal is my only regret.

The Tapa was a hard, homemade corn-based cup filled with meat and topped with a white creamy sauce. A hint of spice seasoned the entire dish, reminiscent of many Latin American favorites.
I hope to return to Santa Y Pura for a proper meal. A tapa is no barometer for the quality of an entire restaurant, but it can be an affirmation of a necessary return.

Nice little place with excellent, friendly service. I had the pork sandwich, bread was top notch, pork was the sliced log variety, which was ordinary, but the roasted pepper saved it. Could have used something vinegary to balance it out. Burger was good but messy. Potatoes were more like baked potato wedges than fries. But the calamari omg. So freaking good. Also the snack tapas they brought before the meal was simple and delicious.

Fui a cenar con mi marido y nos gusto todo lo que probamos ( pizza de peperoni, burguer de santa y pura, nachos y los calamares). Todo está súper bien conseguido! Alucinamos con los calamares veganos, por un momento dudamos si eran reales o no! 100% recomendable 😊
