Amazing Mezze - Edit
We ordered mezze platter number 2 which was so tasty, varied and had some amazing dishes like the Mannachurian balls. I would of been happy ordering this as a main instead of shared starter.
Read moreI had the beef casserole which had a delicious sauce, meaty chunks with pine nuts on mash. This was great but would have been amazing if it had even a small portion of veg to go with it.
My husband had the burger which was also delicious and came with your average fries.
Prices were typical of Chania with mains around €9.50
Service was prompt and friendly and great to see the place full. With a few tweaks this would easily get 5 stars from me.
Pros: Entirely vegan, Amazing mezzes
Cons: Not the cheapest but typical for the area

A great vegan restaurant in a nice part of Chania. We enjoyed eating outside and people watching. Highly recommend the falafel plate and moussaka. We also got the risotto which was just okay.

Amazing vegan food! - Edit
Pulse is listed as being vegetarian but has now changed to all vegan which is great! The food was delicious and innovative. We had the mezze plate to start which was divine especially the samosa. I had a mushroom dish with cashew cheese and pearl barley for main which was amazing. All the other mains were also delicious especially the beefless beef stew with pine nuts and mash. The owner also gave us a plate of homemade vegan cheese and a vegan sausage roll to try which were deeeeelish! Sadly we were too full for dessert!

This restaurant recently switched to become all vegan and everything we ordered was amazing. Their recipes were all really creative and a nice break from having gemista all the time (as much as I love gemista).

Brilliant vegan/vegetarian food - Edit
I confess that I'm not vegan or vegetarian but the food in Pulse could convert me quite easily. What a fantastic restaurant only a few minutes from Chania's Venetian harbour. The food here is outstandingly good and such good value too. Highly recommended. Cant wait to come back to Chania to sample more of their dishes. Well done to all in Pulse!

Amazing place in Crete - Edit
It was a delicious experience in Chania, Crete! a cozy place with fresh and amazing food. We ordered vegan meatballs, green risotto and vegan moussaka. All food was so tasty and delicious made with love and fresh ingredients. The staff was really nice too. As always, Crete people was so friendly that they offer something sweet at the end. And this kind of chocolate salame was amazing.

The Best Vegan Blueberry Cheesecake - Edit
This is a lovely little place, hidden away, tucked in amongst the back streets of the old town and overlooking the sea. Despite the chilly weather, it was definitely worth a visit to see the sun set over the mountains while enjoying some delicious vegan food.
Read moreAlthough it is still listed as vegetarian, the restaurant is now entirely vegan.
I visited with my husband and mum, and between the three of us we shared the mezze board and some falafel. There was plenty of food and even some left over! Everything was freshly cooked and very tasty. The falafel were amazing and the hummus was very authentic.
To round off our meal, we were treated to the best ever blueberry cheesecake, complete with nutty base and creamy cashew filling.
The setting is beautiful and there is a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, complete with vegan wine options.
If you're looking for honest, nutritious vegan food with a delicious Greek twist, this is definitely the place for you!
Pros: Amazing vegan food, Relaxed atmosphere, Beautiful view of the sea and mountains
Cons: There weren't more people there to enjoy it!

Overrated - Edit
Went to Pulse after reading all the good reviews on Happycow. First of all there are no seats inside, it was windy and ice cold to sit outside. My bf ordered falafel and hummus with vegetables. The falafel was dry and didn’t taste a lot, hummus was not very smooth.
Read moreI ordered something mushroom with potato mash inside served on barley(?). I love all three things, but this just didn’t taste good.
Maybe it was a bad chef this day because everyone else has rated 5 stars?
We ate everything, but still walked away hungry. Paid 25 euros...
Cons: Expensive, Windy and cold, No seats inside

The best restaurant I have been to thus far - Edit
This restaurant has a huge menu with absolutely great food! We ate here almost everyday because it was so delicious! Even our non-vegan friends liked it very much and one of them even said: "If I were to open a restaurant I would make it a vegan one like this". Would definitely go back if I were on Crete again (too bad my hometown doesn't have a restaurant like Pulse.. )

Great Vegan Menu, Lots of Choices, Big Portions - Edit
I was really impressed with the menu, and I ate here 4 times just so I could try as much as I could! I loved the hot appetizer sampler - especially the croquettes! The veggie burger is up there among the best in the world - it was big, natural ingredients and delicious and I returned to order it a second time. Lots of great salad options that I didn't get to try as the burger and wide array of appetizers were calling my attention. I didn't know what to expect from a vegan spot in Crete, and I have to say the food here really impressed me.
Read moreThe one con, which I hate to nitpick but it is worth mentioning - is inconsistent service. I ate here multiple times and had different servers, two were great and one was very neglectful. I had to ask him for ketchup twice and wait 20 minutes for him to bring it (by which time my fries were cold). I had to get up and look for him to pay my bill both times. I eventually found a different vegan spot and didn't return to Pulse sadly. However, I would say do go! Do eat here! Just let your server know your expectations before he disappears to never come back. As I mentioned, two of the three servers were great, only one was horrible.
Pros: Outstanding Veggie Burger , Delicious Appetizers
Cons: Service needs improvement
