Or order a la carte other dishes like cerviche, lomo saltado, mock meat stew, seitan noodles, ensalada mixta. For dessert there are cakes and ice cream. Open Mon-Sun 13:30-16:00, Wed-Sat 20:30-23:00. Great value, colorful food - Edit
This is a small place that’s worth visiting. The food is simple enough, but it’s so reasonable that I’d definitely go again if in the area. It also wasn’t overly oily, like a lot of restaurant dishes. We really liked the blue corn drink, but didn’t care for the fried sweet potato dessert. All in all, recommended.

My first time in a Peruvian restaurant, so I can't compare to non vegan versions.

- tamal: corn was nice, send me back to my home country Argentina, but they should change the meat, it was like bubble gum,
- empanada de carne vegetal: delicious with the olives too, also send me back to Argentina,
- empanada de ají de no gallina: great flavour and they have a stew of the stuffing,
- causa rellena: at least mine tasted like a Russian salad, nothing special,
- passion fruit cheesecake: beautiful, very artisanal,
- picarones: sweet potato puffs with syrup which were awesome!
They have many stews, but the only one I ordered, before the desserts of course, was Carapulcra. A combination of white rice, which they should change to brown rice to make it healthier, potato, soy meat and herbs. It was surprisingly nice!
The waitress was very friendly and did not lose her smile at any time even though the restaurant was full.
The timming of the food was pretty quick!
Just one suggestion. I did not like that almost everything has White rice, potato or it is fried. More vegan restaurants should worry about health. Veganism is not just about animals, it is about the planet and holistic life. You can not think right if you do not eat healthy. That's why I gave 4 stars. They do it well, but not so healthy.
If you want to try South American housemade food, this restaurant is the perfect choice ;)

Read moreI am sooo glad I decided to give a second try and come back to this place! It has definitively improved over the years. I tried three dishes and all of them were tasty, fresh and abundant, but liked especially "jalea mixta" which is a mix of breaded prawns and meat. In this case vegan, I did not expected them to be good, sincerely, but with the excellent execution it turned out to be my favourite plate! Definitively recommended! I will come back to try more plates!
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I did not enjoyed my meal at all. I asked for a "degustation menu" which consisted of three small starters (potatoes with different salsas), a plate of corn with mushrooms and seitan with greenpea sauce. The plates were very very tiny, and mostly quite tasteless. I have eaten a lot of peruvian food and definitively their food does not lack taste as the ones that I had at "Los Andenes". The menu was followed with two little pieces of cakes, which were ok, but then it did not seemed very peruvian.
I also think that putting vegan activisms films, while one is eating is not a good idea. Especially if you want to have a nice, quiet meal with non vegan friends. For me it does not contribute anything to nice amosphere.
The only plus of this place was that it was not expensive. It is cheap, but then I would like to pay a bit more and have a bigger, more tastier dinner in a cozy atmosphere.

Feels like being back in Peru. It all tastes AMAZING, really like you were ordering in Lima. I liked the music too. But the waitress/FOH needs someone else hired and helping, she works really hard but is too much for one person.

Los Andenes Vegan is another star in Madrid´s vegan food scene. They serve vegan versions of traditional Peruvian dishes, something you won´t encounter that easily elsewhere. The food is very tasty, full of rich flavours and an interesting change to most vegan restaurants in Madrid that offer mainly "fast-food".

Had the Ají de Gallina and liked it. Never had Perusian food before, so cant compare it to anything. It is a nice small restaurant. The Covid restrictions they hold very strictly, which in a way is good, but on the other hand did not allow us to stay much time.

Después de mucho tiempo sin comer comida peruana, por fin he podido reencontrarme con el ají de “gallina”. Estaba increíble. Mi buen y sabio acompañante ha pedido de bebida una jarra de chicha morada para compartir. Si no la conocéis y os gustan las bebidas dulzonas, sin duda probadla.

Las cantidades son generosas y me he traído medio arroz a casa.
El lugar el chiquito y si pretendéis ir en tiempos de Covid, hay que hacer reserva, actualmente tienen 3 mesas de 4 operativas, cumpliendo todas las medidas de seguridad. Nosotros hemos ido a las 13:30 un día entre semana y estaba tranquilo, aunque imagino que por las noches estará más ajetreado.
En definitiva, id a dadles mimo si podéis, que lastimosamente han tenido que cerrar el otro restaurante que pusieron en marcha en marzo. No os arrepentiréis!!

Comida peruana vegana! Primera vez que comemos estos sabores veganos y no se imaginan lo bueno que estaba. Si están por Madrid, recomendamos darse una vuelta pedir esta causa limeña, ají de gallina (de champiñones), papas a la huancaina y rematar con suspiro limeño.

We ordered the daily menu (two dishes, drink and dessert), one beyond meat steak and a chocolate dessert. The food was delicious, especially the chocolate dessert (4euros) and the beyond meat steak (10 euros but worthy). The place is cozy and the personal is really nice, will definitely come back. Perfect for a family dinner!
