Lots of variety

Had the most delicious bahn mi and Seitan plate! It was rich, spicy, tomatoey and filling, and took longer than the other food so I think was freshly prepared! The plain rice plate (com) was delicious too, and so were the fresh and fried spring rolls, though I found the fried ones a bit too oily. Both times we went the aubergine was out of stock, but the staff would come and tell us and give us the chance to choose something else.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce , Bahn My seitan appetiser

Cons: Hard to decipher menu, Things out of stock

Delicious!

This place was recommended to us by our host and the food was great! We ordered the jackfruit fried crisply and the sesame mecan (seitan) with rice. Although they were practically the same flavour they were delicious! However they were both served cold, they would have been better if hot.

We also ordered a cauliflower and capsicums dish but pretty much got steamed broccoli and carrots, which was disappointing.

Pros: Some good dishes, nice atmosphere

Worst experience ever

After a few weeks in Vietnam this was the worst food we had. The place is dirty, the staff is less than unmotivated, unfriendly and doesn’t understand 1 word....and I won’t mention the toilet. The food had no taste at all and I think it was stale. Never ever again.

Pros: No pros at all

Cons: Everything

agreed. i had heard it was the best place in town, but clearly that must have been like 10 years ago or something...just awful. i felt like i should have apologized for breaking up their slumber party...no "xin chao" or "welcome" ...more of a "what do you want" (after making me wait 10-15 minutes for no reason).... i hope the owners of this decaying scumpond read these reviews and wake up

Busy and good

we enjoyed our meal here. They have a very large menu and some items have funny and inscrutable translations... definitely order the fried spring rolls, they are unique and the best we had so far...and the jackfruit was also good...

Pros: large menu, well priced

Cons: service is a little slow...call them over

Try hot pot there

They serve delicious hot pot! And as we were there, in the evening, almost everyone was eating it and they all were local people😄You can also try soy cheese, well for me quite interesting experience, but it's always good to try new things. We came back for breakfast, had some stew with bread and spring rolls, they were tasty as well. Staff doesn't speak English but the menu in both languages and there are pictures of some dishes. Pretty cheap place. Nice interior, especially in the evening.

Pros: Hot pot, good value for money, nice vibe

Cons: staff doesn't speak English

Good

The food was really good. It was a bit difficult to know what we were getting as the server had very little to no English. The spring rolls were delicious.

Bustling veggie spot

This is a cool space. It is a pretty large, mostly outdoor (but covered) restaurant. It seemed to be a popular spot for tourists and locals alike, which is nice. I only had a small plate of crispy fried jackfruit, but it was good. I’d come back again.

Food very tasty

I really love the food here. Apetizers are really cheap (13k or 17k VND). Dishes cost around 55k. All we ate were tasty ! Very good fried spring rolls.

Pretty cheap, Good food

Service was okay. Food was good! Also quite cheap, only 18-30k for most individuals dishes. They were out of a bunch of things when we ate around 7pm one night.

yummy

I ate here everyday I was in Hue. Great restaurant, non greasy and reasonably priced. Order the Com Chay for the cheap local food.
The staff aren’t so attentive.. but be patient. As all restaurants in Vietnam, tea and water is given.

Incredible food, crazy cheap!

We ordered the ‘jackfruit fried crisply’ with a big bowl of rice and some fried spring rolls. Absolutely everything was amazing! The bowl of rice was huge, the medium would have been more than enough. The service was quick and it was so cheap! All that and two cans of coke for only 128,000 dong! Would highly recommend this restaurant for some reallllly good Vietnamese food in Hue!

We had a late dinner in this cafe. We have ordered 5 different dishes and tea pot. Food wasnt good at all. We even found a hair in the soup, it happens.
Customer service could be improved.

Best vegan place in town!

This place is absolutely amazing. The food they serve is cheap, authentic, nourishing, tasty and fresh. I had the big salad with different sauces, including some kind of stinky tofu, which was absolutely delicious, and the fried Nems that were insane. I got some fried jackfruit and udon to take away. The flavors are bomb, the place is super cosy, I've tried many places in hué but this one is the best from far! Try to be there early, around 18 for dinner, it's pretty busy and the food runs out quickly!

Pros: Amazing vegan options , Colorful tasty and super cheap

Nice food

Menu with many choices, including local dishes from Hue city (banh beo, ...).
The mocked meat was very tasty (for example,, the dish "appetizer of 8 special foods"). Also tried the eggplant with ginger which was great.
With the meal, they serve a small portion of soya cheese whose taste was amazing ! (like the strongest french cheeses !). You also can order a bigger portion ...

Pros: tasty, the menu has photos of some dishes, speak english

Tasty and cheap

Food is very tasty, albeit a little on the salty side.
Coca cola very reasonable priced at 14,000 Dong, the orange juice is very nice, but somewhat of a rip-off compared with the 30,000 Dong price tag and glass only being half full.

The later you eat here, the more dishes will be sold out so I suggest coming no later than 18 o'clock.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Main course arrived cold/lukewarm

Extensive menu with some interesting options- very busy place!

Extensive menu - we had mecon with sesame which I think is sent an, also crispy fried jackfruit and some aubergine. Tasty dishes although all cold and clearly prepared earlier. But this means very quick service- the place was totally packed when we ate there which is a good sign! Service can be a bit disinterested and you have to wave or call to get staff attention but that is not really a problem and is because it is so busy.

vegan restaurant frequented by monks

My favorite restaurant in Hue. I ate there several times and it is still great. There are a lot of choices all delicious. The service is very fast and waiters are nice. You will see a lot of locals eating there and also monks during lunch time!

Busy, runs out of food by CoB, food OK

I arrived around 7.30pm, they didn't have two dishes I opted for. I chose alternatives: fried jackfruit, fig with sesame salad and vermicelli soup. Green leaf salad came with the soup. A combination of the two salads was delicious, soup was OK (first soup in Vietnam to arrive spicy, a plus!). Ordered an extra rice bowl and was charged 16dongs (more than a basic rice veg dish!). Salty lemon drink was terrible, smelled like dishwashing liquid and tasted badly. The place is really busy, service is doing all they can, but I've noticed them passing by customers who were reachig out... All in all food was good, but I think my expectations were just too high for a '$$' restaurant.

Pros: Fried jackfruit

Cons: Salty lemon drink was awful, busy place, run out o

Excellent!

Best vegetarian food we had in Vietnam. Everything on the menu is vegetarian friendly so choosing from the extensive list is worry free. The spring rolls were divine, as was the bok choy/mushroom dish. Ate only here our two days in Hue. Great setting too and super inexpensive.

Pros: Delicious, Cheap, Ambiance/setting

Good basic dishes, pricey a la carte

Nice local style restaurant with an extensive menu of veg dishes and mock meats. We ate here twice. First time we ordered the Com Dia (rice with mixed tofu and veg) for two and paid 36000VND. Next time we ordered a la carte and had a worse experience paying 179000VND.
We would visit this restaurant again but we'd stick to the simple all in one dishes rather than order a la carte.
Another tip... the restaurant closes at 9pm which means they will be very unhappy if you show up after 8.15pm and they aren't shy about telling you off which can make for a sour experience. You've been warned.

Pros: good food, clean kitchens and dining area

Cons: don't show up late, pricey if you get carried away with your order
