Il cibo è buono nella media, anche se come “selezione di formaggi vegani” non può arrivare un piatto con tre fette di pane molto tostate e del formaggio già spalmato sopra.
Read moreIl locale è piccolo e sarebbe carino, se non ti capita però come a noi di sedere nei tavolini accanto alla porta del bagno, e il personale non è di quelli che ti mette proprio a tuo agio.
Mi dispiace, ma non ci tornerei.

Not expecting that a 100% vegan place serves most of discesa with meat-like industrial products... brunch menu, i had a bowl with "puttanesca" pasta (tasty but overcooked), fake chicken nuggets (good, but industrial) and cauliflawer. All together in the same bowl. Questionable and difficult to digest. Pricey, and the plsce is not even charming (plastic plants attached on walls...).

If possible I always prefer supporting full vegan restaurants than restaurants where they serve meat and have only few vegan options. But my experience from different cities across Italy so far is that full vegan restaurants there are quite often rather snob places with over priced food that doesn’t taste so great. On the other hand italian cousine offers so much vegan options itself that you can eat great for a bargain in the least expected places. Regarding my visit to Idem con patate I would expect much more for a vegan restaurant and for these prices. The food was actually pretty average. I would not come back because there are much better places in Turin.

We were looking for a lunch spot for quite a while but all we wanted was a simple pasta al pomodoro. All the local places were busy and the lunch hour was almost over so we decided to splurge for once and actually support a vegan venue. Sadly we experienced many times that the italian vegan venues are not the best and this place proved us right.
Read moreWe asked if they could in fact make the pasta al pomodoro that we were craving and thay said they could even though it wasn't on the menu. We got that and also the other pasta from the menu. Well it was okay but nothing too spactacular for what it costs. We also had the bruschettas - one with tomatoes and one with cream, they were good. Funny was that they call them "bruschettone" on the menu which means something like a giant bruschetta in italian. They were regular size 😃. Pasta al pomodoro for 13 euros is a bit on the expensive side for me and clearly the sauce was something semi-finished. Felt the same about the schnitzel that came with the other pasta. Weird choice, I would expected something more like chunks. No vegan cheese offered for the pasta. Well, let's just say that they didn't exceed our expectations at Idem con patate.

Localino semplice , carino, accogliente, personale gentile. Menu molto invitante, ma non tutti i piatti sono stati all’altezza delle aspettative. Alcuni molto insipidi o con condimento slegato. Insomma, parzialmente deludente per i piatti scelti .

Lovely lunch spot - Edit
We both enjoyed our bis lunch plate and were happy about the broad selection to choose from. We also liked the quick chat with the lovely owners. They have many homemade items (like mayo, cakes...), but for my taste a bit too much of store bought mock meat. Please don't leave without trying the tiramisu cake - delicious!

Prima volta in questo locale, abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per essere sicuri di trovare posto. In effetti al nostro arrivo tutti gli altri tavoli erano impegnati. I piatti scelti (ravioli e riso) sono risultati essere molto buoni. Nei ravioli l'unico neo è stata la foglia di salvia dura e con sapore amaro. Comprensibile perché in questo periodo è complesso avere aromatiche fresche. Il dolce, un pan di Spagna, davvero eccellente. Spremuta di arance ugualmente deliziosa. Bagno spazioso e pulito, ben organizzato.
