Good food - Edit
The starter, the drinks and the desert we had were amazing, just the main dish was a bit disappointing. We had the red curry which didn’t really taste of anything. But the rest was really good and the staff was friendly too.

Great food - Edit
All vegan food, all delicious, and pretty healthy too. Cheaper than I expected too for somewhere I figured would be aimed at tourists, only 95000 for the peanut noodles and they were fantastic.

Ok Pho, not allowed extra tofu?! - Edit
Light and tasty Pho. Quite a small portion. I was not allowed to order extra tofu as it was just for the hot pot, didn't quite understand that! I think go for a lunch as the buffet sounded the best and good value

What a treat this was, completely unexpected. You are led upstairs to an open buffet, where every dish is amazing. Vegan excellence!

Ate off of the alacart menu vs. the buffet. Nothing special, maybe the buffet is the way to go?

Fantastic buffet - Edit
The restaurant has a fantastic buffet for 95K every Monday, Wednesday and Friday up on the third floor. Fresh and fried spring rolls, deep fried mushrooms, papaya salad, fried rice, various tofu dishes, sweet & sour soup, fruit and rice flour desserts. Most dishes were cold except the soup but it was still delicious. Very good value.

Delicious hotpot - Edit
We shared a spicy Thai hotpot between 3 of us. It was delicious and a very generous size for the price.

Incredible dinner - Edit
Our experience at Green Inn, Hanoi was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so kind and welcoming. The price was very affordable too, roughly £10 for 2 good sized mains and 6 (very scrumptious) spring rolls. Can’t recommend enough. This place is a must for vegans and vegetarians who are in the old quarter of Hanoi.

Food is vegan, coffee is not (but has an option) - Edit
Updated this place as it serves cows milk as default for coffee. You can pay to have cashew instead. Food was good, but my Singapore noodles were spicy on the menu, anything but. Tasty but not spicy

Nice food, not 100% sure it's vegan - Edit
I think all the food might be vegan but when we went to order the coffee we noticed it was extra to add cashew milk so we asked if the default was soy and they said it was cow's milk... Now there was a language barrier so it's possible we misheard but just as a heads up when you go!
Read moreThere was a limited menu because of the new year but I quite liked the bun rieu! I wouldn't recommend the angel wings though, as they were quite oily and cakey. If we had more time I would have loved to try more of the menu.

Unfortunately I have had that quite a few times with drinks here! Better always check - they call themselves vegan but then have milk in drinks :/

Wouldn’t go again - Edit
I read a lot of reviews and it seemed like Curry and Pho were not best choices. Have high expectations of Pho and curry so ordered their Thai salad which was recommended a lot of times
Read moreAmbience is beautiful and staff kind and fluent in English. Proper restaurant style. Prices are also proper restaurant around 80-110 per dish.
The Thai salad has three options. I ordered the coconut tree one
I didn’t expect it to be like Thai salad and it was not. Lovely presented and vegan chips were crunchy. Taste could be improved. It wasn’t a bad meal. It was good food, but just nothing special and lacing some lime and chili and more flavour…
Pho of my friends had cilantro even though asking without.
I was quite hungry afterwards so not that satisfying meal. Wouldn’t return #Veganuary

Yummo - Edit
Sweet little restaurant with amazing food and lovely people. I had the pho and my partner had the Singapore noodles, both were delicious. The pho was filled with gorgeous oyster mushrooms and king oyster mushrooms, and the singapore noodles had tofu and garlic crisps. The broth of the pho was amazing. Highly recommend!! They also take credit/debit card.

Bland food! - Edit
Our food was really bland (red curry and peanut noodles). That‘s a pity, because generally this is a very nice place, with friendly staff and a calm atmosphere. We didn‘t feel like giving them a second chance though, even though it was very close to our hotel.

It Was Fine But We Think We Could've Ordered Better. - Edit
We were looking forward to eating at Green Inn because, looking at the menu online beforehand, it covered a lot of the dishes we were wanting to try during our Vietnam trip. It seemed to be a good restaurant to get a taste of proper vegan Pho and maybe some other noodle dishes and that's what we went for.
Read moreUnfortunately, we probably didn't order what they were best at. The pho tasted alright but didn't have a real depth of flavour in the broth and the noodles themselves were a bit nondescript. The mushrooms, that were supposed to be the centrepiece of the dish, we just thrown in last minute around the side and didn't add much. It tasted fine but was definitely not the right choice. We also had the Nam Vang noodles and, this time, the broth was a bit more on-point but the dish itself didn't come together perfectly. There was a lot of soup and not much to fill it out in terms of noodle quantity or toppings. Again, it was good, not great.
While we were eating, we did see other tables ordering the hot pot menu items and some of the salads. These did look amazing and we genuinely feel we'd be more enthusiastic about the restaurant had we tried these. Oh well, you live, you learn!
The soup we tried, and the dessert, both were very good and can be recommended without issue.
The serving staff were very young and a bit inattentive. They weren't rude or anything like that but there were long gaps between sitting, ordering and receiving food. It wasn't particularly busy, only three or four tables total, so this is something Green Inn can definitely improve upon.
Pros: Soups Were Nicely Made., The Hot Pot And Salads Looked Really Good., It's A Good Menu.
Cons: Staff Seemed A Little Inexperienced., Flavour-Wise, Everything Was A Bit Overly-Subtle., Interior And Vibe Was A Bit Dark And Unwelcoming.
