Simpatia y buena velada... - Edit
Fui sólo y me hicieron sentir como si les conociera de hace años, pero sin pasarse! Las patatas exaltadas impresionantes. ¡Raciones muy grandes! Casi salgo rodando... ¡desde ahora mi restaurante en Madrid!

Big choice of dishes. - Edit
Very big menu, would have liked to have tried everything! We had spinach dip with nachos to start with, which was very tasty. Main is a mystery to us as we've forgotten and not taken any pics! Dessert was a chocolate torte.

Brilliant! I was looking for something different and I found it! - Edit
I was looking for something without meat (hard to do when in Spain,) but I found just the place. The outside doesn’t do the inside justice. I had to ask if they were open... once inside I got greeted and welcomed. Menu options for both English and Spanish. I tried the vegan nachos and grilled tempeh. Delicious! They also have a daily menu that changes.

Great food - Edit
We came here for lunch on our last day in Madrid. We arrived about 1:15 and he said the food wouldn’t be ready for 15 minutes but told us what would be available. It was a set menu and we had the Italian two course option with dessert. It was an eggplant parmigiana and some lentil/rice balls. They were really tasty. I also had tiramisu which was nice. The portions may be small though if you are really hungry. We were still full from the night before. Really nice service. It does open at 12 on a Saturday but as the food wasn’t ready until 1:30, I probably wouldn’t turn up at 12. Maybe that’s just for coffee and cake which I find odd or maybe it was just on the day we went.

Vegan breakfast, lunch, and dinner - Edit
Great spot near the park (Restiro) serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I read on another website that there are non-vegan options for breakfast, but I was not able to confirm this. The menus I saw were entirely vegan. I stopped in for lunch and was offered two menú del día options. I very much enjoyed my choice which was a cream of broccoli soup followed by meatballs. the owner seems to make most of the dishes from scratch himself. He was extremely friendly and does speak English.

The owner is really nice and attentive. I have heard many good things about this place. The smoothie was ok but nothing special. The pineapple burger was really nice. Wasn’t a fan of the chocolate cake I had

Delicious set Italian menu on Saturdays! - Edit
If you make it here on a Saturday, you are in for a treat! We had the option between an Italian burger (made with eggplant, complete with marinara and pesto) served with potatoes and the two-course menu (chickpea salad starter and spinach lasagna entree). My sister got the burger and really enjoyed it. I got the two-course menu and the lasagna was AMAZING!! Highly recommend. They had several options for dessert which is included. I really liked the turmeric pumpkin cake and my mom liked the cappuccino cream. I would skip the pumpkin flan that my sister got though. Overall, a lovely experience with delicious food. Loved the space and the cozy atmosphere.

Es bueno tener opciones veganas cuando te alejas un poco del centro, y mejor aún si la calidad de la comida es excelente y el ambiente acogedor, además de una atención amable. Tomé el menú del día y estaba todo muy rico, especialmente el postre.

Creative and delicious food - Edit
I've been here twice, but would be here at least once a week if I lived closer. It is a little out of the center but definitely worth the trip, especially because you don't usually need to make a reservation.
Read moreThe restaurant is quite big and quirky.
I've had the platano burger which is a homemade lentil burger COVERED in a sweet cabbage mixture between two fried plantains/platanos. It is delicious and completely different from any veggie burger I've ever had. My friend ordered the monster/monstruo burger which is as huge as it sounds. It was also very good. The monstruo/monster burger (but not the platano/plantain) was served with some delicious but oily fried potatoes. We left extremely satisfied and full for 40 euros!
The second time I went was for lunch on a Saturday because I was craving their burgers. Unfortunately, they do NOT offer their regular menu during the day. However, they did offer a burger on their daily menu/menu del dia. It was Italian style with pesto and was very good.
I had the croquettes/croquetas both times and they were a little different each time but equally delicious! There are six units and they are served with fresh lettuce leaves.
The daily menu/menu del dia included a dessert so we tried the tiramisu and the brownie. Both were okay. I don't like vegan desserts much though.
I enjoy that Cookaluzka - compared to other vegan restaurants - doesn't focus highly on processed vegan meats and cheeses. However, they do seem to use quite a bit of oil.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for their burgers and fun, spacious atmosphere. Customer service is also very good and I believe the menu is offered in English as well. Definitely one of my favorite vegan places in the city.
