Best sandwich ever - Edit
Such a cute little restaurant with the best sandwiches we've ever had! Great deli vibe with sides you'd expect to see and delicious desserts. Not that you'll have room - the sandwiches are so satisfying! (Check in on Yelp for a free Agua Fresca.)

Positively Addictive - Edit
I love Chef Tanya's Kitchen! The lasagna and garlic bread makes me swoon! The crack cheese ricotta lives up to its name. And the pumpkin seed pesto and the marinara sauce are supreme. The menu is varied. The staff goes out of their way to be both personable and fabulous. It's nice to be able to take home premade pasta, salad dressings, etc. from the fridge. The tables are set up to be shared and fosters community-building. There are great books, buttons, stickers, and condiments to buy. Cooking classes are offered. And the entire vibe there is positive and uplifting. I consider myself a regular.

Mmmm Good! - Edit
Now I know why people rave about this place. Wish we had it near where I live. We had the pastrami and French dip. Both were amazing. They even sell pre-packaged seitan, various flavors of Mac-n-cheese, vegan croutons, and other vegan stuff to aid in ones own cooking. Very small with limited seating so you might want to plan on take-away.

Pastrami Mami, BLT with avocado and added the cracked cheese, the Mac n cheese was ok, the peanut butter parfait was delicious. BBQ rib sandwich was delicious as well. Don’t think you can go wrong.

WOW - Edit
Stopped by Tanya’s based on HC reviews and wow are we glad we did. We had the Cuban and the French Dip. Literally the best sandwiches we’ve ever eaten. I hope the people around here that have access to Tanya’s food realize how good they have it!

Great takeout options! - Edit
I used to preorder the Wednesday night meal (a house special declared each week) but now some of those options are on the regular menu. I highly recommend the lasagna with a Caesar salad side. As a regular patron, I’ve ordered the holiday lasagna (feeds 10 people easily), and tried almost all of their sandwiches (the Chupacabra being a standout fav).

ALL vegan food!!! - Edit
So fresh and delicious!! We had the specials which are served after 4pm. Follow on Instagram to see what the daily specials are. I almost didn't go due to the description that Happy Cow gave saying that most of the food was prepackaged.

What a great surprise! - Edit
I searched on the app for the closest restaurant near me and this was it. It was amazing! We had the hippy ribby (maybe not the exact name) sandwich and the tempeh burger and both were delicious. I hope to go again before we leave town!

Our favorite vegan restaurant ANYWHERE!!! - Edit
We have been going to Chef Tanya’s Kitchen every time we are in the Palm Springs area. The menu is fantastic but, try the daily specials. I love the African Peanut soup and the Eggy Salad. Also, their nightly bowl specials are awesome. And Tanya and her crew are so friendly.

Food To Live For - Edit
I love Chef Tanya's Kitchen. It is my go to as often as possible. Her homemade tempeh is amazingly delicious as a burger or topping a salad. Her BLAT is fabulous. Best sandwich ever. The staff is friendly and helpful. Now open from 11am til 8pm. It is a hidden gem of a restaurant. My favorite in the desert. As a vegan, I love being able to order anything from the menu knowing it has no animal products lurking in it.

Found this little Vegan Cafe on Happy Cow as we drove into Palm Springs California! Cute place with great vibe & full of locals. We had the Avacado BLT with seitan bacon, lettuce, tomato & mayo. It's in an industrial area so well hidden but a fantastic surprise with delicious food!

Chef Tanya for Sainthood! - Edit
Back in 1994 - the same year I became vegan - Chef Tanya founded Native Foods in Palm Springs and was its executive chef. Since then, I've followed Native Foods' trajectory, now headquartered in Chicago with different owners and chefs and restaurants in four states, including one just up the road from me that I patronize regularly. However, I LOVE Chef Tanya's Kitchen because it takes me back to the special spirit of the original Native Foods. Tanya is a spectacularly talented chef, and this tiny cafe offers excellent food, plus a few shelves with a well-curated selection of items for sale, along with a cold case with food to carry out. You may well get to meet Tanya, a true icon of vegan culture, and you'll definitely have a great meal in a space infused with her amazing spirit.
