Lots of amazing options - Edit
The Phad Sei Lew was great! Fried banana with coconut ice cream was okay (bananas weren’t very sweet)

Wonderful Thai - Edit
We’ve eaten here three times, twice for take out and most recently dine in. The food has been excellent every time. Flavors wonderful, vegetables cooked perfectly and generous portions. I am the only vegan in our family and everyone loves what they have tried. The service tonight was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Delicious but Too Spicy - Edit
I was actually looking forward to trying this place from all reviews, and the food was certainly good, but I have to put a little asterisk on the orders. I ordered my pad Thai 3/5 spicy and I could barely eat it, and I like to think I’m pretty okay with spicy food. The flavor was very good but if spicy isn’t your thing definitely go lower when they ask. In the other hand, the Thai iced tea (both the coconut cream version and the lime version) were way too sweet for me. The spring rolls were delicious though. Overall, I’d say it’s a very good place but you should underestimate your spice tolerance rather than overestimate it.

Lunch combo is delicious, but the portion size is a bit ridiculous - Edit
I got the lunch combo with a friend the other day and we both got stuffed.
Read moreOrdering a la carte is more expensive, but it might be worth it to prevent feeling a bit silly after, unless you're prepared to take home extra.
Getting some coffee afterwards helped.
Pros: The food tastes great
Cons: Price for a la carte seems a bit high, Portion size for lunch combo is too large

Just perfection - Edit
Satisfied every time I go here. However I order 5 spice every time, and for the curries, it’s perfect, but for the pad Thai, it was too spicy. I could not handle it.

Best Vegan Thai in Seattle - Edit
I went to Araya’s every now and then before the pandemic. But now, it’s a takeout staple for me. The curries in particular travel especially well. So delicious. My favs are the panang curry, the avocado curry, and the brussel sprouts. The noodles are good in takeout, but better (obviously?) fresh at the restaurant.

Absolutely amazing - Edit
Everything was delicious, I could have made a whole meal from the amazing appetisers. The Thai tofu was so fluffy and the dipping sauce was gorgeous. The crispy spring rolls were the best I've ever tried. What a huge menu and everything on it sounded so good!

Lunch special is wonderful! - Edit
Everyday Araya’s has a lunch special that includes a salad, curry or stir fry, rice, Pad Thai, spring rolls, and black rice pudding. Everything is delicious and could easily serve two people. We’ve also tried many other dishes at Araya’s and have never been disappointed. In particular, the yum woon sen salad and the Tom Kah soup are two of our favorites! The service here is so kind and efficient as well!

Amazing - Edit
This place does not disappoint. I love the location in LA, and somehow the ones in Seattle are even better. Even the most hardcore meat-eaters I know are blown away by how good it is. Highly recommended!

Favorite restaurant in the world - Edit
I've been going here since it was a tiny room in the U-District 20 years ago. It's always a highlight of a visit to Seattle.

Favorite Thai Restaurant Ever - Edit
Araya’s will always have a special plate in my heart. This is hands down the best vegan Thai food. It’s a family run business, Araya is so sweet and the service is always great. I have taken many non-vegans here and it’s always raved about for years.

Really Yummy Thai Food - Edit
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this place! The food was good, and so was the service. One soup we ordered was salty for our taste, but other than that we were satisfied!

Longtime Araya’s fan here - Edit
I have adored this place for years. Their buffet is so satisfying and their menu easily satisfies any non-veg people I bring. During COVID, they have been offering some amazing deals and I’ve been enjoying their lunch special at least weekly. My only wish is that they would utilize their bar space more when it’s safe to open the dining room again!

Wasn’t impressed. - Edit
I ventured here based off of the rave reviews. Needless to say I was not impressed. We ordered the lunch buffet and it was limited with options and freshness. With that said, I cannot recommend the buffet, although I did see an entree that came out that looked decent. Having delicious food at a vegan buffet is kind of a rarity for me.

Best Thai Food I’ve Ever Had - Edit
Incredibly quick service with a menu that has clearly marked items that are but free. I ordered the noodle curry and the curry was the most creamiest and flavorful curry I’ve ever had - vegetables were cooked perfectly so they still had their crunch and noodles were delicious. My partner got the beef seitan mushroom dish and it was amazing! All of their salad options looked great and refreshing.

Really good vegan Thai buffet - Edit
I have been going to Araya's for more than 20 years, starting back when I was a simple, poor, vegetarian undergrad. Now I am a vegan almost 40-something, and I still go to Araya's for a yummy Thai buffet. I've followed them to three different locations (starting with the the one with the clouds painted on the ceiling, circa 1999). I don't think their lunch buffet has changed in all those years, and that is a good thing. It is just really tasty. Highly recommended.
