Café with a large selection of savory and sweet brunch options, as well as cakes. We had a truffle cheese sandwich with scrambled eggs and a croissant. Both dishes tasted very tasty and the staff was also very friendly. A big recommendation for breakfast. (Sep '23)
Read moreThe egg drop sandwich was very, very tasty. And also the croissant and the New York roll. The food was prepared very quickly, but there was a lot of staff in the kitchen, which seemed a bit crowded and at the bar, despite a shorter menu compared to the last visit. (Mar '24)

Empfehlen können wir den Haselnuss Latte sowie Pistazien (ein Traum), sowie das Brot mit Leberkäse und Rührei.

Die beste vegane Location in Dresden für einen gemütlichen Kaffeeklatsch mit Freunden. Alle Gerichte machen nicht nur optisch, sondern auch geschmacklich viel her. Auch der Brunch ist wunderbar und abwechslungsreich. Unbedingt die New York Rolls probieren! Am Wochenende sollte man frühzeitig reservieren. Bei schönem Wetter kannan aber auch draußen sitzen.

One of the best vegan locations in Dresden - Edit
Just stopped by for some take-away raw cake. Tried all 5 mini cake options. Every single one was super delicious, yet quite pricey. However, we didn’t regret having paid so much because it’s 100% vegan, high quality and all manufactured locally. Staff was super friendly and there was a great vibe in the Cafe which made me wish to come back with more time for a brunch.

Man sitzt der gemütlich im Alua, auch sind sie sehr hundfreundlich! Es gibt eine Auswahl an veganen (auch raw vegan) Kuchen, die gut, aber nicht umwerfend waren. Meinen ChaiLatte konnte ich nicht austrinken, da er so bitter war.

Es war bestimmt ein Reishi Getränk, was mit einem Chai nichts zu tun hat.
Deine Erwartungen waren bestimmt anders, deshalb hättest du ruhig unser geschultes Personal fragen können, um solche Missverständnisse das nächste Mal gleich aufzuklären.
Wir sind sehr transparent und arbeiten stets daran, das noch mehr zu verbessern.

Ich hatte ein " Truffle Grilled Cheese" aus der Sommer-Karte zum Frühstück. Das Brot war sehr lecker und knusprig, reich belegt und die Portion riesig. Ich habe noch ein Schoko-Croissant mitgenommen und später gegessen - das hatte ich sehr vermisst, weil es das selten in vegan gibt - und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.

Alua is a small café near the city center. It is very cosy and nice furnished. They offer breakfast items like Pancakes and French Toast, different kinds of Sandwiches and also cakes and other pastries. They also offer a brunch at the weekend. I had a very good sandwich with a brioche, vegan poached egg and avocado. The service was very friendly and we could sit there for long and talk, without feeling pushed to order more or to make space for other guests.

If you can only eat at one place in Dresden, make it this one! 🤤 We went twice within 3 days and loved all dishes we’ve tried. The pancakes were a standout and the best pancakes I’ve ever had 🥞 The vegan brioche French toast was incredible as well, as was the avocado toast and the carrot salmon bread! 🥕 Their cakes are amazing as well, so flavorful. The dishes look pretty but taste even better! Gets busy on the weekends so make sure to come with a reservation! The staff is incredibly friendly despite sometimes having to handle lots of customers. Again: make this a stop on your Dresden trip and you won’t be disappointed 🤤

Read moreWe both enjoyed our lovely prepared meals, but that little extra in taste was definitely missing. Probably too high expectations regarding the reviews and the higher prices (avo on bread around 13€).
Yesterday we had an open face sandwich with avocado at café v-cake for around 8€, and it was yummier to be honest (and there surely was a whole avo on top of the two bread slices).
Nevertheless still a nice spot and the iced coffee was very good!

Cons: High priced, that little „extra“ in taste was missing

Wir bekamen selbst spontan noch einen Platz und es hat einfach ALLES geschmeckt. Das absolute Highlight: das Essen hat noch besser geschmeckt als es aussah und das obwohl es optisch mit großer Liebe zum Detail zubereitet wurde. Geht unbedingt hin!!! Würde es mir gerne in München wünschen!

Wir waren gleich 2x dort, weil es einfach so super und stimmig ist. Sehr nettes Personal, das sich um alles sehr liebevoll kümmert. Perfektes Ambiente und so tolle Speisen. Einfach hervorragend. Und wenn wir wieder mal in DD sind, dann weiterhin im Alua frühstücken und am Zwinger wohnen.

Wir waren hier für ein spätes Frühstück/frühes Mittagessen und hatten ein Sauerteigbrot mit Teriyaki-Tofu und das Blumenkohl-Focaccia, außerdem Zupfkuchen und ein Croissant. Es war alles sehr gut. Der Name Focaccia ist etwas irreführend (es ist eher ein etwas weicheres Ciabatta). Die Preise sind gehoben, aber vermutlich gerechtfertigt wg. Bio etc. Sehr freundliches Personal ❤️
